2012 v6 trd 4x4 transmission irregular shifting

i have 65000 miles on my truck and after the drive from san diego to michigan it started shifting rough and irregular. use to have a dodge i know when trans are about to go this doesnt seem that way. anyone have similar issues???

 

Did you try changing the oil?

 

had it serviced a few weeks ago tried the battery detach to reset learning habits still shifting funny. it was raised in san diego now lives in -minus degree weather.

 

Toyota and transmission going out at 65k miles should not be mentioned in the same sentence, even if the quality has declined now that they are built in the US.

 

Who serviced the ATF & did they use Techstream to adjust the fluid level at the correct temperature?

a napa service center in the town i live in i know they do alot of toyota services so I'm sure they did. it was shifting wierd before the change

 

OK , so we know you have an A750E transmission .
Can you explain rough shifting in a little more detail .
What gear or gears do you find it isnt shifting into properly
Does it act up cold hot ? Did you have the computer scanned for codes ?

 

i havent had its scanned yet, the truck shutters hot or cold while shifting and around 3rd into 4th it will bang into gear when i let off of the gas. also i can be cruising around 30 and it seems to shift up and sound like its bogging

 

Start with a scan . Could be as small as a wacky throttle position sensor

From your explanation , sounds like you have a couple things going on . The scan will tell you a lot .
What was the condition of the transmission fluid when they serviced it ?

 

got it scanned nothing asked the service tech how he change the TF and he told me he did it per service manual, idk what it is.
