I got the cheapest one off of Amazon.. i think its this one:

I dont have it permanently mounted.. just kinda shove it in the cup holder and hold it down with something heavy (or between the center console and my seat) when we do stuff like this!

 

im wanna get one.. just not to sure how to mount it and wire it up.... ill have to look at a sticky or something... or ill just send smoke signals if i need help haha....

 

this one came with just a black and red wire.. so i went to radio shack and bought an adapter so i can just plug it into the cigarette lighter. Thats the easiest way. Ive seen some permanent installs, but there's no real good place to put the thing..

and i wasn't staying in OC it was just a party i was at and no one got the joke...i was like are you kidding me? you guys have never heard of glendale?


and on another topic, i have the same cb as derek and unholycumulus, mounted in the same spot as derek

hey and btws derek, did you have some trouble with your cb at ocotillo, like range wise? mine wasn't transmitting forward very far but backwards was no problem, but i also found out later the antenna was loose and i had to screw it back to tighten it, idk if that would have had an effect on anything though

 

Amir, Get the Cobra 19 DX IV and the Lil Wil Antenna

Install is easy and clean if you want to mount it in the front. That is how mine is mounted and it hides behing the rear seats when not in use. I hit TREES all day when out wheeling last friday and it did not move at all. Check out the video on the Corral Canyon thread...you can see on my truck. Roger helped me out with the install. It is easy to do. Best to have it installed before wheeling. Helps with communication and that is key.

 

i've got some sort of magnetic mount i slap on the roof after shoving my cb in my cup holder. I find if i remove the cup holder, it doesnt flop around as much.

i thought you lived in san diego, Amir go to walmart and pick up a cb and a mag mount antenna, you can also pick up the cig adapter so you can just plug it in. then you will have to figure out how to mount it

 

i went to the walmart off of highway 15 next to Frys and they said they didnt carry CBs..? Frys didnt have a great selection either.. the few they had were $$$

 

the frys be me has the cobra that you guys are running, and the walmart next to Noe's house has the cobra too. it just shows san diego sucks

The walmart cobra should work fine. Brian used it in Ocotillo...but for the Antenna get the Lil Wil if you go Magnetic. The other will fall off.

All off the radio will have the same power...it is the option of the radios that differ. It's all about the Antenna.
