I ordered the G2 from AAG and its in route however I called FedEx and instructed them to return to sender. I then called AAG and had them exchange for the 2.0 Since it could decent reviews on here. I should have waited....

I don't want to compromise on my decision to go with the Revolver X2. I am willing to wait a little longer (yet again) until they sort out this issue. From what I have seen so far, reported quality issues for the product itself don't seem to extend to the X2. But it does look like there is some guy in the packaging/shipping department that needs to get his shit together.

Bak industry really made a few mistakes here. They are trying to rush a product out the door before it's ready. Plus they have issues with their inventor management and quality control.

The reason why you're not seeing people complain about the revolver x2 is because not many of them have been shipped yet. The one guy I know who has one is about to send it back.

The rails don't lay flush on the bed. They are tilted in as if the clamps on the inside are to short and pulling it.

I have not seen it myself. So I don't know if it's just a shitty install. Guy doesn't seam to be to handy but I can't judge on appearance.

    *sigh* thanks for the info.

I am really hoping someone one here can actually get one installed and post some pics before mine ships. I **really** want the X2 to work. I do not want to settle for a tri-fold.

They did this exact same thing to me.they promised me overnight. called 2 days later to see where my package was. It never even shipped. Then ended up getting my missing parts and new rails a week and half later regular mail. Oh and instead of owning up to forgetting to ship it they gave me a fake tracking number.

I don't think they forgot anything. They are just trying to hold people off with out losing sales.

They have not been very honest. I'm hopping they get their act together so I can reorder mine.

We all know their would be going pains with buying a new design truck. Just the companies should not be misleading people to try and make a few bucks. They should have finished the product and tested it properly before adding it to market.

It sits up ever so slightly but the weather strip covers the small gap. there are indentations in the bed where the weatherstrip droops into it once it is heated and settles.

I was one of the first to receive the X2 shipment, but have been lazy to post about it. Here were some of my issues:

-one of the rail ends was dented upon unboxing (looks like it was dropped, I had to bend it back)
-the rubber seals wasn't properly applied (they were dangling off the rails) on the left and right rail near the tail gate
-both rails were not flush near the end of the tail gate upon the initial installation. It was about quarter inch higher. I had to disassemble the rails to reline the seals with how the 2016 Tacoma bed liner curves at the end. It sits almost flush - not perfect
-had rain the very next morning. I checked when it was parked - no moisture. After driving, I checked again and there was a significant amount of water inside along the side of the truck bed.

I feel that Bak lacked attention to detail in the quality control aspect in manufacturing. This is my first truck cover I have ever purchased so I'm not sure how to rate it. I like it because it has a clean flush look and to be honest I didn't expect it to be 100% water proof. This is not a deal breaker for me.

Hope this is helpful for someone looking to buy the cover.

Glad you posted a pic of the cover rolled up. I was concerned it would be up against the cab. Once it warms up the rubber along the outside edges will lay flat. Winter time is a piss poor time to install a tonneau cover anyhow for this very reason.

Yeah, when rolled up it won't touch the cab even when I forced it to. I didn't even use the bump pads that they included in the cover.
I'm planning to use a heat gun to try to flatten the edges.

F1. Bad night pic. Mess with the quarter round strip. The rail will sit almost perfectly flush. There is no slope to the plastic rail on the bed. If there is its very very slight.
