Looking to lift my stock 08 prerunner with a 3-4" lift. Trying to save some cash if possible. Not much heavy off-roading done here. Liking the OME kit that starts around 750 but not sure if I need a full suspension swap. Input in decent kits would be great. Also running 265/75 16 cooper at3 on the stock rims, wanted to jump to a 17-18" rim and 33-35" tires. No run at full tilt now but that could change with 35s' on a 3" lift. Input on all of this would be sweet

OME kits are well liked here, seems to be a good brand. Just don't go cheap on the lift is what you hear most as it will cost ya more in the long run. Wheels need more specifics, I wouldn't go bigger than 17, I prefer the look of 16 on these trucks, look better IMO. What's the budget?

Get a spindle lift. It's the way to go for 2wd

And good sites to get a spindle lift? All I keep finding is maxtrac. Also I read that you have to adjust for new backspacing because of the lifted knuckles of a spindle lift

I couldn't tell ya man, I'm 4x4...maybe someone else will chime in. If not, I'm sure the info is on this forum, you'll just have to find it. I use google to search and just add "tacomaworld" to the end of whatever I'm searching for.

A question about the rims, I believe I'm going to bite the bullet (wallet) and get the OME kit. Now if I'm putting 33" tires on say 285/75r17=33.8"X11.2w or 295/70r17=33.3"X11.6"w. Not sure what width to get. Usually I've been told a 4.5" backspacing is the go to for most 3" lifts. Usually a -offset pushes the rim out from the the mounting point on the hub

This is my truck with a 3inch rough country suspension lift. I just put 33's under it and still had to trim a little. I don't think you could fit 35's without more lift and more cutting.
