Bummed I missed going out to shoot and wheel with you guys today. BUT, as I had a pile of stuff to do on my truck, I decided to do a personal build day. Started at 10:30, finished at 5:30.
New UCA's installed. Done. Took about 2 hours per side. Now that I know how, could do it in about 1 1/2 hr total.
    Delete sway bar. Done
    Remove diff drop. Done.
Last 2 involved removing all my skids. o_O
Relentless hood mount for CB antenna. Done.
EVERYTHING with a zerk fitting greased! Done.
1 liter bottle of wine. Done.

    Comment on sway bar delete.
I was concerned about the handling getting wonky. With 700 lb springs, in normal driving, the only noticeable difference is that the ride is more supple. I did some simulated avoidance maneuvers, and it definitely rolls more, but not in a scary way. More like and old VW bug. Rolls, then settles. Tried some side to side maneuvers, and feel pretty good about leaving it off. Next few weeks will tell. Then we will see what it's like with the weight of a winch and bumper.

Now to jacuzzi, then, BBQ pork chops!

FYI twal... with 700lbs springs.. your front in will seem to feel like its sitting on bricks for a suspension for a while until they break in.. you have a number/winch on the front? i hope so, that would be the only reason for running 700's. i had 700lbs springs on my kings and man they rode stiff. i upgraded to stage 5 icons since but anyways... hope this helps on what to expect.

Well......kinda waited for a build day, but since none were forthcoming, and I tend to be a bit CDO ( OCD in the correct order), decided to do a solo attack. But now I know how. Surprising thing is so many people complain how hard it it to get the bolts out. I just went postal on the pinch welds, and they came right out! Easy considering they've been in there for over 100K mikes. Took about 2 hrs for the 1st one, cuz I was being cautious, did the 2nd one in about 1/2 hour.

I've had the 700's on for about 9 months, in anticipation of a winch and bumper, but, while stiff, they haven't been jarring or anything. Winch coming shortly! Gonna order in about 2 weeks. When I did the lift, had about 1" of Taco lean. Now, pretty much zero..

Nice!! yeah same here the passenger side is always a little easier, not much stuff in the way. Drivers side is a pain by yourself but eh ya did it.

The 700lbers haven't softened that much after 9 months? Hmmm what springs you using?

It looks like your uniball is hitting the side on your UCA. Well cant tell for sure from the pic but Id look at full droop and make sure the uniball isnt whats stopping the droop. If it is I'd look into getting limit straps (cheap over all) so you dont damage them.

You wont think it leans bad till you have to do a true avoidance...ie not a test but a OMG im going to hit something if i dont miss it. At low speeds its not bad but do it at 70-75 and its a scary adventure Id prefer to never have to do again.

They are actually 718 lbs! Pro comp. They have definitely softened. I think they are about broken in now. With a couple hundred pounds of front end gear, they will be absolutely squishy! Plus, it's a truck. I would rather have em stiff, than hit the stops on every bump. We'll see how it goes.

Has about 1/2 - 3/4 clearance at full droop. As for avoidance, i did some pretty hard fast moves, and it didn't roll over. It's more avoiding other vehicles. If it's a bunny, no avoidance. Don't tell Kris. I am a pretty careful driver, so.....

I have the All-Pro apex and i love it. only issue i have had at all is that it conflicts with the two White spacer things below the headlight...
