So I have all of this old film SLR stuff from the early 80's...

Camera body, multiple lenses/adapters, filters, auto-winder, flash, macros, zooms, etc...

All is in great shape, but with the digital revolution, it hasn't been touched in years and is just taking up space.

I use just my cell phone mostly for the everyday stuff. My son has a Nikon D5200 DSLR (with more buttons than my TV remote) that I can use for the special stuff.

    Options:
    1) Keep it...may be an antique in 1000 years.
    2) Sell it...doesn't look like it's worth much on E-Bay.
    3) Get DSLR body + adapter for the FD lenses...What camera body (system) would I need for this? Pros/Cons?

I have been out of the shutterbug loop for a while, so I'm not sure what is out there...what to do? Any direction?

    Thanks...Paul

Keep it! If not then I guess I don't mind if you give it to me, it's not a problem. >:)
That's a great camera though, I would hang on to it but that's just me. What lenses do you have?

Yeah. I guess I'll just keep it. Like I said, not likely to get much for it on ebay...probably spent over $1000 on all this stuff. The lenses I have are the standard 50mm , a 28mm, 75-200 zoom, a macro set, & 2X extender.

Oh that's solid, yeah that's a nice little set up for sure, those 2 prime lenses alone are terrific and, depending on what you like to shoot, you're pretty much covered all the way around. My friend is giving me his old 28mm but I haven't gotten it yet so I'm excited to see how that looks. I shoot a lot of street photography so I think I'm bound to like it!
