Have an option to get one today for 20% off what the cheapest price I can find on Amazon is. (Actually buying from the PX, but the price works out to about 20% less than what I see on Amazon, always cross reference things to see how the prices are compared to there).

I've never used an electric smoker, are these decent units?

Any reason to get a 30" over a 40" of around the same price?

Any reason to get a RF controlled unit vs a bluetooth one?

The models I am looking at are:

    20072115 30" bluetooth controlled $275ish delivered
    20070411 30" RF controlled $255ish delivered
    20070311 40" RF controlled $255ish delivered

    Thanks fellas / ladies

Do you need an electric for any particular reason, like being in an apartment? Or is it the ease of use that's got you thinking that way? Personally, I think you get a much better result from a traditional charcoal or offset smoker. You can get a Weber Smokey Mountain for about $300, which is an awesome smoker.

Was looking at electric for the ease of it. Right now I "smoke" on a weber kettle that my dad originally bought in the late 80s.... it's had it's use and is about on it's last leg / dedicated to permanent camping bbq.

Plus, I know that there are better ways to smoke than always monkeying around with a kettle.

I know this is a older thread but I have a master built electric and love it .holds the temperature to whatever you set it as .very easy to control the smoke . really easy to use. I've been smoking every weekend since I received it last year

 I have one and have used it more than my charcoal smoker, I still like the charcoal smoker too but for temp consistency this works great!
