Check out Truecar.com. If the dealer can`t come close to that price. Then GO TO ANOTHER DEALER. Never buy one from the lot. There got you by the Balls.

It's all the Northeast to me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ... then again, some of my more close-minded southern brethren have more colorful descriptions of all y'all ;)

Ok guys, below is the price I was quoted from Koons Toyota Arlington, and my contact is Christian Johnson...
I told him the exact package I want.

    TRD OR Inferno 4x4 Double Cab A/T 5 ft bed - $33,370
Tech Package with JBL - $3,035
    Tow Package - $650
    Cast Running Boards - $795.
    Total: $38,210

After telling him those are the packages I want without the prices from Toyota website... He replied back to email with his "manager" price:

Market Value: $37,819 (Yes, I did ask him if this is MRSP of all the packages I had told him)
Sales Price: $34,432 (Yes, he said this is their "offer price.")
Processing Fee: $599 (their dealer processing fee is less than other dealer, I was quoted $900 from others?)
    Taxes: $2,170.72
    Tag Fees Est. $309

Balance Remaining: $37,510.72 (OTD price confirmed)

I emailed him back to double check, cause his numbers don't match mine.. One thing I don't want is being lied to....

You're getting almost $3800 off MSRP? That's quite a discount, seems too good to be true.

I hate to say it, but I knew where he was going.. This is his response when I told him to double check his price.

I apologize for the mix up. That truck did not have the JBL Speakers. Attached is a truck that we can get from one of our sister dealerships that has everything that you are looking for and more.

If this is something that you would be good with getting then I can work up pricing for you. If not then we can do a special build for you. That would take a couple of months to get in though. Whatever you wish to do we can do.

Then he attached an "incoming truck," with all the following packages:

    TRD OR Inferno 4x4 Double Cab A/T 5 ft bed - $33,370
Tech Package with JBL - $3,035
    Tow Package - $650
    Tonneau Cover - $650
    Cast Running Boards - $795
    Bed Mat - $120
Four Season Floor Mat Package - $309
    TRD Air Filter - $90

    Total Optional Equipment: $5,649
Vehicle Base Model: $33,730 (Toyota site shows $33,370, not sure if this is typo from dealer end or trying to bump prices up)
    Delivery Processing fee: $900
    Total MSRP: $40,279

I emailed him back and asked him what will his offer be for this "Truck." I want to see if it'll even come close to what he said to me before.

Purchased my first Taco today! 2016 Magnetic Gray Metallic Limited 4x4 DCSB

I actually showed the salesman posts from the "Master List" thread to negotiate price. I ended up getting $2370 off msrp on my limited. I wanted 3k off. They stated that in December there were 734 Tacos sold in Chicago and 34 of them were the limited pack so he was firm on 2370 because they had interest in the truck. I shook his hand as I wanted this exact truck since they came out.

    On a side note*
Toyota rejected my $750 college grad rebate which is a two year Associates degree with five years of on the job training in Tool and Die because my diploma didn't say "diploma" on it. Screw them. I pulled my financing from the dealership and went through a different source.

For what it's worth to anyone who is interested:

Charles Maund Toyota in Austin, TX is a participating CostCo dealer, BUT they've opted to exclude all Tacomas from their Costco pricing.

I called their customer service line, and CostCo has put me in contact with Universal Toyota, in San Antonio, and tells me they are including Tacomas in their CostCo pricing. They should call me on Monday.

I currently have two local dealers competing for my business with $200 below invoice pricing on a 4x4 OffRoad, as well as on a 4x4 Limited.
They've also promised me their 7yr/100K mile platinum extended warranty for $1400, which retails for $2800.
Plus, they've both agreed to match my bank's financing, which I'll happily take in order to use the $750 rebate, on top of the $500 cash back rebate.
So, $1250 in additional rebates; but they don't know I have those up my sleeves!

Let's see if Universal Toyota in San Antonio can beat that...
