So I have 275/70-18 and I know some are running 285 in 17's. My question is what tire pressures are everyone running for daily driving? I'm runnin Toyo AT and the installer filled them to 80psi because that's what was on the side.

Mine says 80 but you got to remember that MAX when cold. I have my 285s around 35psi.

35 is what I thought too. You hit a bump and it wants to skip.

    What's the chalk test?

Chalk test, you cover a piece of the cross section of tire wth chalk, roll it forward then back. If your psi is correct the chalk should be evenly distributed on the ground. If the edges are clear but the middle isn't you are under inflated. If the center is more defined than the edges you're over inflated.

There are you tube videos if you have any questions.

265/70/17. Goodyear Adventures. Max is 51psi. Running at 42psi. Seems comfortable and no bounce. 18 mpg with 60/40 city/hwy.

Mine are set at 35 cold. When they warm up they psi goes up to 37 38. In spring I will drop to 33 cold. Because as the days warm up they will run around 35 36.

Psi should be set off your door badge that psi rating is set for your vehicles weight and will work for any size tire the max pressure on sidewall is just what that tire company warranties it up to before bursting that's what I was told in a training class by Goodyear back when I sold tires for them has always worked for me and got me even tread wear even on my 35s under a jeep now if your towing increase pressure a bit as needed

What installer was that if you don't mind me asking? Half of that pressure is too much for these trucks in that size tire as most have eluded to already...

Knucklehead at the garage I was having work done at. I drove down the road and dropped it to 35 but I posted just to be sure I wasn't losing my mind.
