Maybe in a past life. The user name is a childhood nickname that I still go by.

Gents...this thing is legit. I bought mine before the group buy, but the price deal for what you're getting here is Rock Solid! I haven't taken mine in the field yet, but I can say it gets damn cold and runs nearly silent. I've been playing with the thermostat settings trying to get the perfect temp for my beer...:p Not sure how accurate the gauge is on the display compared to the actual temp in the case, but I think it's +/- 5 or somewhere close. I plan to get a digital gauge to put in the fridge to try to get it nailed down on the actual temp. The build quality is extremely solid and I think the 50L is just the right size for a few day expedition.

I purchased the fridge cover from these guys...http://www.metaltech4x4.com/p-684-ironman-4x4-ice-cube-fridgefreezer-bag.aspx
They're solid and the Ironman 4x4 cover fits the Indel B like a glove. It's foil insulated and has a pouch on the side.

I plan on running it in the field on my Arkpak 730 this coming weekend, so I'll post an update after. I was joking with some of my friends about bringing Snickers Ice Cream bars this weekend...so should be interesting...:D Unfortunately, I'll have to set the freezer really cold to carry frozen stuff and I'll keep the water and other things in another container until we devour the ice cream and then I'll transplant it into the Indel and raise the temp back to a reasonable cold unfrozen temp. That's the only thing I see as an issue is that there is no dual compartment for regular unfrozen things and frozen items. Most people won't be freezing things anyways.

Im curious how tall the unit is with the lid open? Mind taking a measurement for me :) Ive done some simple approximation but an actual measurement would rock

I've got the tb41 model. It measures 37" tall when open and resting against the strap, and 37.5" and 90 degrees wide open.

Would these not be recommended for say, using for a few hours every other day?

I'm not exactly sure what your question is. Are you asking if these can be powered on only periodically throughout the week? If so, I'm pretty sure most people don't have their fridge powered on 24/7.

Yeah, I would use it like every other day for say about 4 hours use. More on the weekends but would definitely beat having to get ice all the time.

That makes sense. I don't see why you wouldn't be able to. There's also a quick mode to get it up to temperature quickly if you need to.

Dual Ham Radio, CB, BlueSea FuseBlock, additional USB ports, two plugs to power refrigerators, solar.
If you are planning on removing any food etc between uses yes you could do that. Cool down times would vary room temp and the temp you want the fridge to reach. It could take well over an hour on AC power to cool from room temp to 32 degrees.

    Hey guys,

Quick update before we get underway. I just got off the phone with Truck Fridge. Everything is underway and we are all set to have all purchasing kick off on Monday (02/15). Don't forget to save some of that Valentines cash for your fridges! As a reminder, the list will be closed this Sunday (02/14). I'll be sending everyone payment instructions by Sunday night at the latest.

    Thanks!
