I have read a lot of threads moog verses oem and such but it seems pretty much undecided and i'm in need of a drivers side inner tie rod so i'm going to replace them all to be on the safe side. so what kind are going to last me on a 00 prerunner and is going to be great?? if you have links to sites that would be awesome... don't mind if aftermarket prefer it to be honest as they are generally better designed then oem...

moog is crap value line. not meant for heavy usage (light driving with lifted trucks). go for OEM or raybestos professional.

OEM, i trust their proven quality and reliability, for steering and ball joints i say why cheap out

if you want to save some cash and go with a cheaper brand then you should be checking on them more often and possibly doing preventative maintenance over shorter lifespans, im sure moogs are just fine, but almost certainly wont last as long and higher risk of failures because of poorer manufacturing/quality standards compared to oem

both will do that job, depends on how you use your truck, how comfortable you are with doing your own maintenance, budget, etc. and how big a lift you're referring to....

i just bought the truck a month ago and am trying to replace things on the suspension right now and just took it into toyota and he said the front drivers side inner tie rod has a little play so i just want to replace them all at the same time so i can get a base line of when stuff is needed for a maintenance schedule.... don't care the cost want something that is going to with stand time and abuse is all, my lift is about 2" over stock also sry

for a simple little lift like 2 inches, just take your truck to an alignment tech and tell him to swap out the tie rods or give him the tie rods to swap out. no need to find a mechanic.

I did the same thing when I first got my truck at 200k kms, replaced upper and lower bjs and inner and outer tie rods all OEM parts, they were more expensive than napa parts (also had to pay exchange rate and shipping from the states to Canada) but we'll worth it. If moneys not an issue, Can't go wrong with OEM  that's my 2cents anyways

I went with the Napa precision or performance line on tie rods. Also going to lift. I'll let you know how they are

OEM lasted 16 years. Go with OEM if you want similar longevity.
