    i have not jumped my truck in anyway since i have had it. i have flexed the shit out of this truck but would've never thought it would misalign or make the bed whacked! :confused:

    does anyone have any idea's how to fix this. i am sure the dealer will deny any warranty due to lift/tires etc.... i am at 46,000 plus miles.

    I don't mean to cause alarm, but this looks a lot like the issue that group of Raptors had. Hopefully it's not.

    What rear springs are you running?

    i have pulled a few vehicles out of the ditch, a couple of pulls/yanks but never anything that jarred or could cause this (i think) i have looked underneath, checked bed bolts, (tight) no visible damage from underneath etc....

    Just loosen the bed mounts and re align it. the yanking and flexing probably moved something.

    Bingo! Trucks flex in the middle, which is why the bed isnt connected to the cab. Over time, or use, the bad can need adjustment. Its no biggie.

    I had to revive this thread, just noticed this morning, on the passenger side, I can't even fit my pinky finger between the bed and the cab. On the drivers side, I can fit my whole thumb between the bed and cab. Dropping it off at the dealership tomorrow, still under warranty!

    Sounds like it man, if my truck wasn't under warranty, I'd just loosen the bolts and align it myself. Don't waste your money at the dealership!

    Just get a 285 for the driver's side and a 265 for the passenger side

    Easy

    Update; got my truck back from the dealership today. They loosened the bolts and re-aligned it back into factory specs. Hopefully it stays put now, time will tell.

    There are two kinds of misalignment that are known to happen;

    1) side-to-side misalignment: This is benign, and can be fixed by loosening the bed bolts and pushing it around.
    2) top-to-bottom misalignment (i.e., the front edge of the box is not parallel to the cab): This kind of misalignment indicates a possibly rear-end collision against the trailer hitch. What happens is the collision forces the hitch forward *and down*, causing the rear-most segment of the frame to buckle slightly, which pulls the rear of the bed down. Because its a composite bed, it is able to conform to the new frame shape without twisting the bed sides. It *looks* like the truck is bent upward in the middle, but it is actually bent at the rear. The good news is that the damage is restricted to the rear-most segment, even behind the rear spring mount.
