I'm heading up to British Columbia next year and am going to spend some time near Squamish. Do you all have any recommendations for 4x4 trails up there, as well as any cool camping spots with a view? I have been looking around Britannia Beach, as well as off of Copper Drive.

I don't have any recommendations but I bet it would be a bigger challenge to find a spot that doesn't have a view than to find one that does. Beautiful area.

What level of trails are you looking for?

What type of distance are you willing to travel to get to a wicked trail?

No more than medium. We also want to find a camping spot at or above treeline. We probably would not go more than a 1.5 hour drive from town. Thanks!

I think best suggestion is to call nsor.com and they might have more suggestions but I hear eagle Ridge is great but requires rock runners and suggested rear end upgrade.
I will be going later this spring with a group on my quad first just to see the trail and options before i take my truck on it.

What crossing are you coming over at Peace arch ? Whistler/ squamish is about 3.5hrs north west giver or take, if you head east about 2 hrs or so there's chipmunk mtn in chillawack that has some mild trails and lots of places to camp along a river and your really close to cultus lake and some water slides. Further east there is Harrison hotsprings ( yes there are actually hot springs there ) and a lot of wheeling in that area. You can check out stave lake in maple ridge. And as far as squamish/ whistler goes there's lots just drive into the Bush or you can travel a bit further into pemberton and if your really adventurous you can check out Duffy lake the drive is beautiful and you end up at a really nice lake but that's about a 5-6hr drive.but realistically the better wheeling is east a couple of hours.

Oh ya the Britannia mines are really cool make sure to check those out you can't miss them they will be on your left with a huge rocktruck on your right and the ocean on your left.

If you want more details pm me I'll see if I can pin some stuff on Google maps for you

You can stop at any canadian tire or Lordco and pick up a B.C. back roads map book for @$50 canadian so that's like $10 American and it will have all the logging roads and I believe it should have active and non active roads on it

I'd like to go to those mines and the boardwalk here. Hyw 99 is the scenic route correct?

If you just follow the #1 it will take you right to them it's just before squamish, or you can take the Duffy lake loop wish is the scenic route which is a super fun drive and beautiful but it will probably take longer and you will come through pemberton then whistler to squamish then to the mines
