Icon Mid-Travel w/ Billet UCA's, All-Pro Expo's w/ Icon Resi Shocks, ARB Bumper w/ Warn M8000 Winch, Method NV's w/ 285/75 R17 BFG BFG AT KO2's, TC Gussets (spindle, shock towers, LCA cam tabs, etc), DMZ Engine Mount Gussets.
About to start installing a Mid-Travel Icon kit on my 2005 Access Cab 4x4 Off-Road. The kit includes 2.5 ext. travel front c/o’s, billet UCA’s, 2.0 rear shocks (remote resi), All-Pro expo leaf pack, All-Pro U-bolt flip kit, and Wheelers super bumps (front and rear).
While I’m doing the install I’m having a buddy weld in TC Cam Gussets, TC Coil Bucket Gussets, TC Spindle Gussets, DMZ motor mount gussets, and a cab mount chop if necessary.
The truck already has an ARB bumper on the front with a warn M8000 winch I put on after I struck a deer about 2 years ago.
I’m pretty set on getting BFG KM2’s but torn between 255/85R16 or 285/75R16 on the stock Off-Road rims. I think I’d rather go with the 285/75r16 but worried about it rubbing my billet UCA’s and ARB front bumper. Anyone have a similar set up, or knows someone that does?
Will the 285/75R16’s work on my stock rims if I set the front at ~2.5” of lift?
Also, if this should be posted in another section please let me know (couldn’t decide between general, suspension, or tire thread).

They will work, but I'm pretty sure you will need spacers. I have the same size lift and plan on running 285 70 17 km2 on my stock sport rims as my play set of tires/rims.

Already have a set of 1.5" Synergy Mfg. hub centric spacers. Just don't want to use them if I don't have to...

    Stock for now.
I had some correspondence with an Icon rep about this and was told that you will need spacers to run 285s on stock wheels. The X-Overland guys run 285s and, while the Icon guy couldn't tell me which ones, they do use spacers. Although, I don't think they are running the TRD Alloys anymore. I'm not sure if the Billet UCA has different clearance issues, but this is the case for tubular. They say a max of 5" backspace, but recommend 4.75".

I'm also eager to know how your kit works out. The Icon rep suggested the 2.5" rear shocks for overland builds, but I wouldn't mind saving some coin if the 2.0 with res will hold up well.
