    this is about the only place on the forum that anyone is running aftermarket seats. I need some input on seat sizes. I'm restoring an 88 Pontiac Fiero to be a fun little daily driver. I don't feel like refoaming/wrapping the seats. so the next best thing is to just toss some "racing" seats in it. problem is, it's a very small mid engine car, so a lot of seats are too big. anyone have suggestions for a smaller racing seat? depth should be around or under 24'', and the max width at any point cannot be greater than 20.5''. I don't need a $700 carbon fiber bride/sparco/corbeau, but their lower end models could work. would like to keep it under $300 per seat, but am not sure I want to go so cheap that I get the $120 a pop ebay seats. just need some general input and experience on some of the smaller seats. I only drive 15 minutes to work, so fit and function are more important than comfort. I take the truck on all of the longer trips where comfort is needed.

    I really like stock 03-10 ford ranger seats. Not too big, not wide, decent bolsters. Could be a touch tall but I have always liked those seats

    Thanks, I found it on craigslist and had been talking to the owner for a week trying to schedule a time to pick it up, its very clean, and has a lot of the service records. Should be great for what I need it for. I forgot what its like to drive a truck with no bodyroll

    That's awesome. I've been scouring my local craigslist for a new vehicle. Not too much worth my money yet. Wasn't sure if there was a different site I didn't know of.

    Can't get behind the glass with a nut.That hole is small. I thought about cutting out some more holes. But it's tight. The space between the outside of hood and the inside is very small. I thought about welding a bigger "mount" to the factory hinge to increase the surface area and spread out the load.

    Just make sure you drill the exact right size hole. Each different size has a recommended drill bit size. You can add a washer on the outside, but you're out of luck on the inside.

    Then you're good to go. I wouldn't hesitate to use them. You'll crunch the glass a bit when you compress them, but that won't hurt the install.

    Do be gentle with the hood though. :D

    TRD S/C, Camburg LT, DMZ SUA, SAW Shocks in all four corners, Glassworks hood, fenders and Bedsides, 35" Toyo MT, KMC Enduros
    I'm running a Glassworks hood and the hinge area was actually aluminum under the fiberglass, so I just tapped the aluminum piece and use the stock hardware with pins up front.
