I was looking for some insight on how to remove the bed from a DC Taco and couldn't find anything. I looked under the chassis and located only four bolts, which seems about right for the short bed. Can anyone confirm this as accurate?

I don't really need to remove the bed so much as gain access underneath to assist in mounting some L Track. The bolts will need to be drilled and nuts tightened. So removing wires may not be necessary but I may have to loosen the filler neck on the fuel tank to shift things around a bit...

Regular beds have 6 bolts. 2 up front, 2 behind wheels, and 2 at the back (through the frame). Not sure on the DC.

Filler neck isn't bolted to the bed, just slides out of the rubber grommet. Taillight wires are the only thing connected to bed besides the bolts.

Edit: just checked my DC. They are the same, 6 bolts

Exactly. It may look intimidating, but it is really quite easy.

The first time I did it, my 110 lb wife helped me take it off the frame. Take the tail gate off to make it lighter yet.

Thanks, I'll look harder to locate the two missing bolts. The tops of which are covered by the bedliner...

They don't come up through the bed. It's all underneath.
