I bought an illuminated grille badge online and want to install it, but I want to be able to unplug it if I want to remove the grille. I want to hardwire a plug into the DRL wiring and attach the other end of the plug onto the wiring for the badge.

What would I look for to do that?

Scotch locks? I'm hoping to be able to "unplug" the light's wires to remove the grill if I have to.
I'm not sure I'd want to open these up and use them like a "plug"- wouldn't that ruin the wires?
This is an easier option than soldering, but I don't think of this something I'd want to undo unless I'm removing the wiring entirely.

type in "fully insulated male/female spade connectors" into google.
also, go to a best buy to the install bay for audio. they carry them and talk to the installer and they can give you some. they do have a $5 material fee but if nice they should just give to you. weather proof and able to disconnect

plain jane on the correct track. if and only if I was going to use them I would get "fully" insulated. the male spade in the pic in not fully but will work. like I said, swing to best buy and take a look
