did anyone ever answer the question about mounting the fridge in the bed option? I dont want to do a drawer or anything like that, just have a slide to pull it out the bed when i need to get to something.

There's a fridge slide as one of the optional accessories- you get a 25% discount on it as part of the group buy. Not sure if that works for you.

Agreed! But I'll just have to make my tailgate work for now I guess...

It's really going to make me want a swing-out with a fold out table. More money!

They made this one too that drops the fridge down. It's only a meager $1200...

Would probably work fine for you 4Runner guys. Tacomas would need a drawer system like what's in the picture.

Yeah. I think my ideal setup would be for the stove to slide out on the left side of the tailgate with the fridge over the tailgate, the actual tailgate for food prep, then the swing-out table for a sink/water area.

I was thinking fridge on the left side, having one of those Camp Chef Sherpa tables http://www.amazon.com/Camp-Chef-She...qid=1455069392&sr=8-1&keywords=camp+organizer to help organize my shit while i figure out everything else..

Have an awning that extends back behind me so i can cook regardless of weather conditions

Looks cool, never used one before... trying to figure out when it would come in handy over a regular ice cooler. Does that thing have to stay turned on all the time? How are you guys powering it? with a generator?

That table looks pretty nifty. I'm assuming it doesn't pack down very compact?

Yeah, I looked into that table but I think I'm just going to stick with a couple regular storage totes.

I definitely want an awning for the exact same thing. Eventually...
Ice takes up space, so you have to take that into consideration as well when looking at size. And you never have to worry about things not staying cool because of running out of ice. Would be great for 2+ day trips on trails.

I'm going to be powering mine from my main battery. The fridge has a built in limiter so that it doesn't drain the battery below a certain point.

It does actually does, you can remove the aluminum top and store it and the legs can collapse down. I havent seen one in person but i'm going to get one at one point.

It runs off 12v battery power. You can run off an external battery like a NL Power Pack or Arkpak. Has to be powered on whenever you want to use it but there's a low power cutoff and an economy mode if you are running it off your car battery or a dual battery setup.

Pros over a cooler- no more ice, water, condensation everywhere, can be used off the grid for longer periods of time.

    Cons- none.

@PcBuilder14 I see, I'm not on the 2 day trip level yet. But it does sound fun.

So you keep it plugged in all day and night?
