We do not make or currently have plans for a DOT approved LED Light. Unfortunately when making a DOT approved light the output and performance is limited.
We have had customers install dimmer switches to be able to run our lights on a dimmed setting when other traffic is around. Some customers aim the lights very low to avoid issues as well.

    Thank You,
    Bailey, Baja Designs

Thanks. Sorry for getting that wrong.

I've had some off road lights on my tacoma for some time and ran them fine without getting shit from other driver. They were amber though and aimed really low.

No worries! Aiming the lights very low is one of the only safe bets.
Now that you have a 5th gen 4r, keep an eye out for our OEM fog pocket kit using our Squadron Series Lights :D:thumbsup:

I'll keep my eyes out! Someday I hope to armor up the front but i've been thinking about adding some OEM style lighting.

I took the truck off road for the first time the other night. I loved wheeling at night with the Tacoma but I had tons of light. The HID's on this thing are decent lighting, but I could barely see. Especially to the sides since the windows are tinted. Needless to say, I need some more lights haha.

Ah, gotcha. I was fine with the output being limited because any is better than none as far as a street-use fog light. The only problem I have with the low aiming would be that I still need covers in order to pass my VA state inspection, if I was going to go that route, I would just aim my current lights (that already have covers) down.
As far as the dimmer switch goes, I would hate to buy something nice and them buy something that limits it's performance.

    Thanks for your response

That is different though. Jeep, when owned by AMC made some cool stuff. Vince was in a Barbie jeep.
