Here is Eastern Canada it usually takes a forecast of over 6 inches of snow to shut the schools down. Calls for extended periods of freezing rain will do it too.

Yep....They shut down schools because busses supposedly can't handle the subdivision streets. Now we have about a half dozen kids in mommy and daddies cars in our parking lot doing donuts......

Good morning! -7 this morning but not a lot of wind thank goodness. And the sun might actually come out yeah!

6 inches in Mn. is cause for a 2 hour delay :p

I put on the silk long johns in the fall and they don't come off until spring. Well OK they might get washed here and there and I've got almost a dozen pairs but the principal is the same LOL. I've found it is the key to survival here.

Still fighting the crud and now right ear is infected and swollen to the base of my neck. Oldest son called yesterday and is done with treatment for his OCD so taking the day off to drive to the other side of Wi. to pick him up. Don't feel so much like being on the road all day but somehow these things always seem to fall on me, so be it. After we hung up yesterday thought I'd wash the truck but forgot the car washes don't open when it is 10 or colder so going to have to live with the salt for a while longer. Looks like Monday it is supposed to get above 10 again.

Sorry to keep stalking you Bluegrass. I think I'll be copying your setup to some extent. Hope you'll post up your install experience and show some pics.

Holy crap, we wanted rain and now we are breaking heat records. Close to 90° in February? We are trying to push it eastward

My wife and I are about 7 years away from retirement, assuming the market doesn't take a dump, and we are looking around. Most likely the South with Tennessee, Georgia and Guntucky (Kentucky) on the short list. Maryland's gun laws are absurd and prevent or discourage law abiding citizens from exercising their 2A rights. Criminals don't pay much attention to the law, it's actually a job requirement, so it doesn't prevent them from getting "high capacity mags" or a Handgun Qualification License. Sorry for
    The rant...

Kentucky leads the nation in applications for CCL's. Packing a firearm is like putting on a hat....Lots of good hunting and fishing opportunities too. I'm originally from Indiana, which isn't too restrictive, but nowhere I've ever been is as "gun friendly" as Kentucky. Lots of off road areas dot the landscape too. Cost of living is respectable. All in all, no complaints.

And, from the health and/or lack there of dept.....Back to the doctor today. Bacterial infection of bladder and kidneys has returned. Thought as much. I'm back on antibiotic regimine AGAIN..... Nowhere hear as much pain this go-round. This is getting ridiculous.

Take care of yourself Bluegrass and good luck at the doctors. Thanks for the advice about your state. I have heard lots of good things about Kentucky, it is certainly on our short list.

Thanks man, every time I think I've turned the corner it comes back. I've been fighting it for over a week.lots of OTC meds and a stubborn German streak are the only things that keep me pushing.

Already been there and made it back home. Higher dosage of antibiotics and for a longer period of time..... They finally stumbled on to one that works. In less than 2 hours it's already beginning to work.
