I am still debating if i should just buy the 2016 I4. Looked up at CL and shortlisted these 2 .. High miles, i know .... but is there anything alarming i should be looking for?

    1. 2010 Tacoma Access Cab, Manual, I4, 2WD - 132K miles - 13900

    2. 2005 Tacoma Access Cab, Manual, I4, 2WD - 149K miles - 9000

Both vehicles have newish tires. Both the CL links are active. Any recalls, issues i should be researching?

Early models had horrible clutches. See how they catch and how much it slips.

People have said that there is nothing wrong with a Tacoma with high miles; however, with high miles you have to expect more mechanical repairs on wear parts. The engine may be strong and solid but, as with every vehicle, miner parts have to be replaced. For instance, I had to replace the U-joints, freeze plug, and idler pulley on my 2010 Tacoma with only 50,000 miles. With 132k I would be expecting some repairs within the next year or sooner.

So far I have had a recall on the coil behind the steering wheel (I forgot the function, I think it's airbag related?) and catalytic converters. The rear leaf springs are under recall but Toyota has not fixed the issue for me.
