My brother got his HD series a couple of weeks ago, ARE rep said it was the first one they have completed. It is rated to hold 500 lbs., but the internal frame looked beefy enough to hold much more. The shell had been molded for some time, but the internal tool boxes delayed delivery by several weeks.

Does it seem like the internal frame eats cargo space?

It may if you didn't have the internal toolboxes. I really didn't notice an issue with them hanging inside.

Got my snugtop Rebel installed today. I like it so far! Windoors, lock keyed to the truck lock, sportsmans 500lb rating, fold down front window, etc. My stickers appear to be a bit high, so I'll have to pull them, oh well.

@Vietguy its Inferno Orange, but due to its freaking amazing color and the current cloud cover it looks a little reddish. Wait till the sun comes out and it shifts again :)

Any interior pics @funflyer26? How does the front shell window match up with rear cab window?

Great looking topper!! They did an awesome job matching the color! I still am partial to the look of the recessed windoors on the leer 100xr.

I don't have any interior pictures handy, I'll try and get some tomorrow before I go out of town for the weekend. It does line up well though.

I also like the more recessed doors of the Leer version, but I wanted the 500lb capacity so opted for the Snugtop.

It sounds like we got the same options and I'm pretty happy with it. I got the power lock on the rear hatch and did not bother getting it keyed to the truck. If I were to do it again, I would consider NOT getting the ventilation sliders on the windoors just because it looks like a lot of potential water leaks someday. But it seems like the best solution for dogs.

If you are out taking pictures, can you take a close-up shot of how the nuts and washers are mounted on inside of the windoor handles/latches? Mine had split washers in a bad location so they were really stiff and sticky and inconsistent to use. I replaced the split washer with a flat washer and now it's great. I'm just wondering if they were all like that or something was done wrong on mine.

Starting at the window, mine was assembled:
Cast spacer cup -> split washer (which gouged into the spacer) -> plain hex nut -> latch tab -> nylock nut

I kept the same assembly order, but just replaced the split washer with a flat washer and dialed in the spacing. (shown is the as-delivered setup)

Also, I found the return spring and driver's side latch actuation cable on the rear handle was dragging on the cover. I trimmed the cover for clearance, but wondered if this was normal.

I didn't notice the spring or cable dragging, so that might have been unique to your installation. My windoor latch looks just like your picture, but they are flat washers like your replacement, not split lock washers. lock washers definitely make no sense, why would they even have that in a parts bin? The installation guy told me that Snugtop gets their windoors from someone else, and they just install them which makes sense since the quality does seem to be a bit lower on the doors than the rest of the canopy. I had a miss drilled drain hole where they partially drilled out in the wrong spot and tried to cover it with goop, but its being replaced under warranty since the installer agreed that it was fine but shouldn't be that way from the factory.

Sorry for the pictures being dark, a downfall of going to work at o-dark-thirty.
    Inside:

    Inside window:

    Windoor latch:

Slider window from the truck side. They line up, but you loose about an inch or so since the canopy window is a bit higher.

My vote will be Leer...primarily for customer service. My cap developed cracks right above the hinges, eventually a little 1" triangle fell out. I was PO'd. Went to my local LEER guy as it was at 4 years 11 months on a 5 year warranty. He said it was definitely wrong, took the cap off right then and there, and sent it back to LEER. A couple of weeks later, I had a new shell. A good experience. FYI: 5 years into the replacement shell, no issues whatsoever.

    Yup, standard.

I haven't checked if they still have the same warranty nowadays. I guess I'll find out when I buy my new leer for my new truck

Lifetime. At least that's what I was told when I put the deposit down on a 100XR earlier this week.
