Not yet. Too expensive. Will need wheels too if I do 35s. Got at least 1.5 years left on my 285s.

 

Mine were only 1200 OTD. Maybe like $150 more than 285's, and why would you need new wheels? Are you still on factories?

 

Yes. On factory 17"s.

 

Ahh. Makes the difference. Might be able to find tall skinny 35's for 17's though, in which case you'd be alright

 

My 285 are light p-metric. Maybe I'll do LT 34s (285/75) to get a feel for the weight before going full 35s. That would keep trimming minimal too I think.

 

Why buy tires twice?

That's a lot of options, but if you can't get any of them before January I'd shop elsewhere.

 

Okay got a question where do you buy different gears. I heard the 4cly has the good gear ratio but the v6 is the better engine. I traded up from the 4cly but it was only a 5spd and the v6 is a 6spd... Are those the gears they are talking about or is it in the diffs? For the record I'm a complete noob on modding parts I can swap things out for better stuff but when it comes to changing internals my skills are limited unless it's electrical stereo stuff.

 

Lol didnt see this now I feel like a jackass ha-ha diff gears not transmission gears. Anyone have a source for them?

 

Just word of warning stay away from pro comp steelies for the time being. I had a set of them I got from wheelers 3 of them were out of round. Was able to return them and wheelers "had" not sure if they have them back dropped pro comp off their site because of how many other customers had the same issue. If its not your DD and just a trail toy you should be fine but as a DD the shake was like a jeeps death wobble lmao. I went with MT Classic III and love them with no issues at all. Much lighter as well if your looking at heavier tires. Just my $0.02 take it or leave it.

 

East coast gear supply is the best for our area, that's who most people on here use. That's who I'll be using eventually.

 

Any particular brand that's better?
