It's great to see this going around, but you guys do realize they cost less than $20 w/free shipping on Amazon with a short cable included? Jus

So I am done with the meter and will be sending up to @anthony250f today. I added in a log book and my dad gave me a 3' UHF jumper to replace the 20' one. Here are a few photos! Thanks again Zane! :D

That's awesome, thanks for including that cable and book as well! I'll make sure to update the OP to reflect that the book and cable go with it. Glad to see its making its way around. :)

I originally mailed it in a USPS envelope. Cost about $5.45 to ship I think.

Tune went well, took me a while to get it in the sweet spot centered around CH19. Using the 3' cable proved better results than the 20' cable. Still not an absolute measurement as other influences come into play as in where you have the radio in proximity to the meter and where your hands are on the meeter, so does take going back and forth quite a few times until you feel it is right. One thing I did figure out is that when you are tuning the Firestick II antenna, you have to replace the plastic red tip/cap after every adjustment as it really influenced the propagation. Anyone all good, now just have to find a truck driver to give me a radio check! :D
