Limited 4x4 starts at $43995 here in NC and a few dealer add on I wish now I had taken a pic of the window sticker but tinted windows paint protection was added making the asking price $44995

ITT, everyone complains that because their needs aren't someone else's needs, and therefore they're wrong.

$45k should buy power seats, anyone who thinks it shouldn't is being intentionally myopic and obtuse.

If you read the entire thread you'd see my above quoted post. You can't have more utility of a Tacoma and the luxury features 4Runner for the same price. Who's being myopic?

Maybe it is the right idea. I'm about to trade a '15 TRD OR DCSB with 39k miles. I'm not real enthused about the idea of the smaller engine in the '16. Never mind the threads I see bemoaning the lack of torque and transmission issues (wont stay in OD, etc). I USE my truck. Pull my 4500lb tractor with it several times a year to the hunting camp and back.

I'm about to trade mine for a 4Runner. Keeping the same drivetrain I've got now, that I KNOW will do the job. I'll miss the utility of a box on the back, but I won't miss wondering when my Yeti cooler or other items in the bed will sprout legs and run off.

Sticker on a truck like I've got would be north of $37.5k. I'm buying an SR5 Premium with power seats, Softex leather, and a moonroof that stickers for $39k and change. 4Runner seems like a better deal.

Man! What a good looking pair! Nice color too. I had to make the decision between a 4R and a Taco. Picked the 16 Tacoma but still wondering about the T4R. Must be nice to choose which set of keys to grab before heading out the door....jealous

Yes we ( being) the wife and I always have Toyotas and got the opportunity to get these two and have 0 regrets she loves the 4runner and I really love the Tacoma I had the 2010 sport 6 speed manual and this new automatic took some time to learn my driving habits but at 4400 miles it has become my favorite vehicle I have ever owned just installed the katzkin black leather and it has made a huge difference

The red badging looks good. I just reached 1000 yesterday but still waiting for the tranny to settle in. I love this truck. Ive been driving an Acura Cl type S for 10 years and I'm not missing my auto, memory heated seats at all. The only thing I would have missed if it weren't for the new model, is the heated mirrors. I do like the sport shift which I utilize a lot in town on steep inclines especially in the snow. It worked well in the Acura in the winters and I'm sure it'll be a great combo with 4wd when needed.
The 4Runner had everything and more like the heated winshield, power rear window and reclining back seats.
If I could afford it I'd be driving both too

My wife has a 2015 4Runner...with power seats...I have a 2015 Tacoma...manual seats...and I HATE her power seats. When vacuuming under them and moving them back and forth they are sooooo slow! Takes a half a second to move my trucks seats.

I don't care as much about them being power as I do the limited adjustability.

So, basically, what you are saying is you identified your needs/wants and then bought the vehicle that best met those ... sounds like smart shopping to me

Congrats on the new 4Runner :burnrubber:
