Why can't I get the JBL speaker option with a manual? Seems stupid to me. My new TRD off Road is on the way. Very excited

Really? I hate it when they limit options like that. In Canada, we can only get JBL on the limited. I noticed a few days ago at the dealership, that the limited comes with the same 17's that come on the sport too...can't even get the 18 inch wheels for some reason.

I doubt it. They are rare as hen's teeth in the secondary market. When I sold my '10 (in march of '14), I had a dealer make an offer, then a private offer 2k above the dealer, then the dealer came back and offered 1k above the private offer. They listed the truck for $500 over what I paid for it new in '10 and it sold in a few weeks ( I was checking their website).

Buying the manual won't hurt your resale value.

This closely mirrors the experience I had selling my 6MT '13 Outback on my way to getting the Tacoma, except the there's no way in hell a Subaru would ever get close to original MSRP. The dealer made the better offer overall (thanks to the trade in tax break) and resold the car less than a week later to someone who called me to inquire the day after I got rid of it.

Agree. My last two Tacomas I bought used. Took me forever to find manuals. As soon as I did I bought them up. Did not waste time hagling on price as they are hard to find. Manuals I believe will up value but you just have to find the right buyer.

Yes. When an automatic Toyota pickup was rare and unwelcome.

I don't know how I feel about the new line up. Unless I'm Canadian I can't get a 4x4 TRD OR AC with a standard? I'd have to go with a sport. The SR5 AC 4x4 doesn't come with a standard?

    Man, this is discouraging.

I've got a 2016 in a standard but it's only 16.5% Toyota. I'll continue my hunt for a 2002-2004 TRD XtraCab OR Standard,

No factor in Toyota's ownership in Fuji Heavy Industries.

    Just remember.
