Thanks for your help, I guess what I'm not clear on now is if MSRP includes "Regional Fees"? I would assume regional fees are part of it but want to make sure.

    So would it look like:
Car + Options + Destination + Dealer Documentation + Regional Fees = MSRP
    or
Car + Options + Destination + Dealer Documentation = MSRP

    This assumes a list of:
Car, Options, Destination, Dealer Documentation, Regional Fees, Tax, DMV/CA fees

I don't think it would include regional, as it would be in the same category as tax, title, license...(items which vary by state)

ok, thanks again for your help. First dealer car buying experience, so I want to make sure I don't show up AND supply the lube. If I end up making the purchase, I'll make sure to post what the final price was.

@aero90 No worries, let me know if you need any more help - what dealer are you dealing with?

Toyota of Escondido (I live in San Diego). Contacted a few other dealers in Socal, most say MSRP is the lowest they will go or flat out won't negotiate until I come in for a test drive. I'm currently driving an early 2000's explorer that is falling apart around me worse than a teenage girl, so I'm in a bit of a bind. I don't necessarily have to buy right now, but my time in my current car is limited at best. Don't necessarily want to spend months looking for the absolute best deal, all the while putting up money to keep my car running. So I'm looking for a good deal, doesn't have to be the best deal, but at the same time....I'm the type of person that would rather take the bus than get ripped off.

I ordered mine last month from Toyota of Escondido. They were the first of several dealers I called that said they would honor Costco pricing. If youre a Costco member fill out the form and submit it online. They called me within an hour. They have also been calling me with updates every week or so, so they have been good to work with.

Hello all first post been creeping a bit and im looking to buy my first tacoma. Just making sure i get decide on the right deal. Familys had a 99 4runner and that thing is still running strong at 220k miles!

Aero90 lmk how it goes im looking to pick a 2wd DCSB tech package jbl with a couple add ons(dclips, run boards, mudguards) im hoping they'll have something in stock at escondido i just stopped by el cajon the other night. Theres still mission george and lemon grove but trying to find any texh package in their online inventory is just not working. Cars pop up but when i click it the link is gone.

Im with truecars right now their saying msrp is around 34k and can guarentee that price is this a good option to go with or is costco gonna be the better deal?

I fell for this one. Had the Costco price in-hand and went in to Elmore Toyota in Westminster because over the phone they said they could negotiate the price in person. They told me about all the great dealership add-ons they offered on every vehicle whether you want them or not. Of course they could negotiate the price of the add-ons but there is no way they could get below MSRP. I couldn't walk away fast enough!

    Assholes!

When I was getting my TRD Pro wheels put on yesterday at Tustin Toyota (bought the truck at Longo) the sales guys on the lot were saying that Elmore was kicking up the price between 5-6K...I was blown away.

They were wrong! Try 7K on the MKT adjustment! WOW

Makes me laugh because there will be buyers who take off $5000 and think they got a deal...

Make sure you INCLUDE ALL EXTRA DEALER FEES in your MSRP price before taking your discount. Don't claim $1000 off MSRP and exclude all the extra "fees" and useless mop and glo add ons. Those numbers have to be added to MSRP, In some cases exceeding Manufacturer MSRP.

    There
are TWO MSRPs Manufacturer and Dealer. Dealer MSRP should include ALL non government fees.....ALL of them

Elmore is a total rip off and will never give them my business. they have 4 to 5 guys standing in front like vultures. I told them I was interested in getting the Taco and a rav4 for my mom, that didn't make a difference to them at all. Place is a joke.

For a 2WD with towing I paid $33291 Plus Tax and Title (That included their addendum sticker of $1295 for various extras such as Tint and Mop and glo, ToyotaCare,) I refuse to pay for anything I did not order and that includes the crap the dealer adds.

I got a good deal on a Taco from them in 2013 through the internet sales department so I thought I would give them the first shot again. I was willing to buy that day if they could match the price I had in my hand and they said no chance.

I contacted the back in december, they quoted me a price $500 over MSRP. When i told them i had another offer at $700 off MSRP, they said "I just realized that you are a costco member it would actually be closer to 800 off MSRP." I asked for an exact price and they never responded...stuck with the other dealer, and ordered 12/8 but am still waiting.....

So i found a trd sport dcsb with tech package and jbl, addons were d ring, targa cover, carpets and sill and exhaust tip. Truecar got me an estimate around 34,422 (tech pack with jbl, add ons were run boards,d rings, mudguards) with 800 savings if in stock. They found one but its not in stock so he said max discount thru truecar would be 415 off if he manager approves which he was 99% sure if i was ready to buy. The msrp they put was 36,3xx so woulda been 35,900 plus tax/l/l

I went ahead and found the dealer the cars at and gonna head over thereto see what they can do, they quoted me 34,121 with a estimated savings of 1,103 off msrp so i could possibly get the car for 35,000 or close to it would that be a good deal?

If msrp is 36,3xx for the car im looking at what ballpart figure should i be happy to purchase at?

That actually sounds about right...Costco is $1100 over invoice right now which is probably about 800 or so off sticker. Not great but best I could find at this time

I ordered 1/19 and my build date is 3/24
