Yo. What cap are your sportin"? I'm definitely getting a cap, looking at LEER. Did you think of taking the badge off?

Love this unicorn build. After ordering it in September finally took delivery February 6th. Its been a long wait. Previously owned a 2006 dark blue sport trd LB 4x4 for 10 years. After reading many of the negative postings about the gen3 during my wait and getting prepared for the worst, it is far more refined than the 2006. I'm very pleased with it.

I'm glad to hear that! I also am parting with a 2006 blue Tacoma (Off-road) with 250,000 miles...going be kinda sad to see her go, but my new '16 MG OR LB should make me smile.:kona:

Were you talking about the TRD Off Road? If so those are easy to remove. Leaving them for now but on the shell the plastic snugtop badges are a pain..

Keep looking at this pic lol. New to the forum. Just signed the paperwork on my Magnetic Grey TRD Off-road Double Cab 5' bed today. Should have her in about a month and a half. Cant wait. Will be throwing on some more aggressive tires and a leveling kit ASAP.

Yes, they do. I was negotiating a deal on a 16' TRD OR DCSB 6MT, that had technically been used, because the finance situation didn't work out for the original purchaser (had 498 miles). So I'm negotiating my trade in, plus wanting at minimum $1000 off MSRP since it's technically used, and sales guy comes back 5 minutes later and goes, "That's it, it's sold, just like that". I'm like, huh? Sales man says, "ya apparently the guy next door was working on the same exact deal out of all the vehicles we have on this lot, crazy huh?" I stood up, told him, "ya, sure, see ya later, im in no rush to pay msrp".

I have another story too, about buying the same exact configuration, and it was with the Internet Sales manager. Brought him a legit letter from a dealer quoting me $1200 off msrp, and asked him to price match and I'm already qualified for $50k@1.47%. Let's do the deal. He told me, that's way to much off, and if you can get that deal, go up there, cause we aren't coming down that low. The most we go down is $500 off msrp. he told me, I really want you to buy the truck from us, since you will use the service dept. But we can't come down under $500 off msrp.

Anyways, I tried twice with them, and will never give this dealer a 3rd chance to try to make a repeat customer, and to use there service dept. In my mind, just a bunch of snobs. I bet the scenario would change had it been a recession, and the vehicles were just sitting on the lots.

Unfortunately that's what has been happening all over California. I ended up buying one out of Ohio because they're knocking $3k off msrp. I had to pay for a shipper to bring it out but still under $1500. Cali dealers only knocking $500 off is a rip. Pretty crazy when they're not ready to wheel and deal at all.

For sure and if gas prices were up ... they will be dealing on these after summer no doubt before 17 hit in late Aug.
