Going to run bilstein 5100s at 1.75 want to also use camburg control arms for now and for future heights. Will they work well together at 1.75?

So long as the distance between the UCA and the center of the hub is the same, or equally spaced with a lift, it doesnt matter what you get. . 2.5 inch lift you can get away with on stock knuckles. Anything more and you should get knuckles with a longer arm to the UCA or a lift kit wjth a lower crossmember. Most lift kits beyond 3 inch come with these though.

But wait. Youre doing the billstein lift and going higher? Not recommended. The bilstein lift is already 2.5 inches over stock at a 0 setting. and even though youd csn compensate for the upper arm, your lower will still be nearly maxed out and theres nothing easy you can do for that. If yku want to go with a lift higher than 2.5 inches, get a cpmplete aystem that comes with a crossmember and knuckles.

This is incorrect information. Bilstein 5100s can be preset (prior to assembly) at 0", 1.25" or 2.5" of lift.
This will work fine. But there is no 1.75" setting for 5100s for 1st gens.
This doesn't seem necessay to what the OP was asking. Beside, drop bracket lifts actually lower the amount of ground clearance over tradional IFS lifts because the stock crossmember must be replaced with a dropped bracket. FWIW, this involves cutting out the stock bracket.
No. If you set the purch on the shock at the lowest setting, you wiill not gain any lift at all.

@Digiratus just said there is no 1.75" setting. Lol! You can go up to 2.5" setting with stock springs or 0 setting with coil lift springs. Usually 3" Eibachs. That gives you 3" of lift or max out the 5100's on the top 2.5" setting and go that route

That will be just fine! Im not sure what CodeSeven was trying to say. But like digiratus said you wont have a 1.75 setting for first gen 5100's. The only time u will have lift while the 5100 is set to zero is if its a lift spring like the eibachs. If its a stock type spring the your lift will come from the adjustability of the 5100.

Ahh @Sicyota04 ya beat me to the punch..

I never understood drop bracket lifts since you actually lose clearance! What's up with that? I guess you have to have tall tires?? Lol

Yeah, its all about the tires....and i guess keeping stock geometry is a plus to a DB, i guess...

So with 5100's at the max setting and stock or replacement OE coils, the total amount of lift is going to be between 2.5-3" correct?

In this situation, the amount of lift you end up with will depend on how many miles are on your stock coils. The progressive coils that come on the TRD truck will no doubt have sagged some so they would end up with less lift compared to brand new OEM TRD coils.

Also, the numbers being thrown around in this thread (0, 1.25 and 2.5) are merely estimates and come from the marketing folks at bilstein. YMMV.

2.5" is the max setting with OE style coils.

OP. if you get the bilstein shocks for the front of your truck, do NOT adjust the setting. keep it on location "C" which is the lowest setting if im not mistaken

correction. this lift kit will give you 3 inches.

and what do you get if you put them at max setting? a broken shock and possibly an accident. this kit is not meant to go higher than standard 0 setting.

Yeah he wasnt asking about the eibachs so the info i was giving was using OE style coils....

I even mentioned the difference between the eibachs and stock coils used on the 5100's in post #9????
