Groundhog's got himself a cushy job this year; we haven't even had winter yet, of course spring's here.

I've always called the other lamp you have in your comparison pic a "hurricane lamp" . :notsure:

2/6/08 I39/90 In Janesville WI 2000 vehicles were stuck overnight. Public backlash ensued. As a result now whenever there is a possibility of severe weather they shut the interstate down. Possibly the other end of the spectrum?
Anyway we are toward the end of the storm that wasn't:rolleyes: Last week they were predicting 10-15"+ The storm tracked north and we got 1/2" of slush and it's still above freezing :frusty:

My in-laws get the Lehmans catalogue and I look through it quite often when we're visiting. I considered ordering the new Alladin lamps thinking they were like the originals (my Dad collected antique lanterns among many other things), but from the reviews I read, they are now made in China and have issues with leaking fuel. If anyone has gotten a new one, can they confirm that this is the case? Or are the reviewers (quite a few) just dumb and overfilling them? I have a few cheap oil lamps from Tractor Supply and the glass ones work great, but the one "hurricane" lantern leaks like crazy even with only a little fuel in the bottom of the reservoir. Thanks!!

That's probably because they don't want the dip shits with young kids not thinking and other dip shits who wouldn't dress warm enough to end up freezing to death. Then in the long run costing the city money having to treat these dumbies for medical issues.

The part of that story that made me laugh was talking about the earlier "ultimate snow day" being canceled for a snow storm! That seems pretty ironic.

Single digits here right now. Even though that'd feel warm right now, I wouldn't want to be out in it for 10 hours!

    Stay warm!
