    I don't get into Halloween too much. A couple years ago we had a party at work and did a team theme. It was "Egyptian". I used it as an excuse to not wear sleeves. I also only wore a white towel around my waist (I had white compression shorts under). Probably a big HR red flag but everyone (and I mean the ladies) loved it. There was a video too but I'll spare you that. My favorite was the alien. Oh, we also turned our cubes into pyramids. This literally took us away from our actual "work" for days...
    (I'm the one on the right - this was 2012, I had only been lifting for about a year at that point).

    I have a friend who coaches high school football and he does the Westside program by Joe Defranco. It emphasizes sizer and strength, but also explosiveness. It's an AMAZING program for athletes.

    Do those skinny sweats have pockets? I've got a pair of UA ones that I wear to the gym but they don't have pockets so I've always got to put my hands into my pants to my shorts pockets.

    This isn't gym related, but.
    Had a dream last night I was at some bar, Guns N Roses was there, it was like they were half doing Karaoke and half old material from Appetite. Things got weird, Axl was gaining weight and having a mental break down while trying to scream sing Sweet Child O mine. Then started looking up videos on youtube and watching on a projector screen. People were confused and eating BBQ wings.


    Bout to head to the gym.

    I vote for morning squats. For some reason I LOVE tackling squats first thing in the morning FASTED! I don't do it as often as I used to but it really does feel great. There's something about that feel on that last set where you feel like you're gonna pass out..

    lol it's not that bad, especially if you snort some pre or something.. Once you start squatting, you forget that you're hungry. Also, it makes the meal afterwards so much more satisfying.

    I just did squats and deads with my heels on 25lb plates. For squats it really got my quads in a place I had never hit before. It kind of limited my down motion though since I was in a bit of an incline and couldn't hinge on my hip. For deads it killed my lower back. I was doing drop sets and had to bail after 3 reps on my last few sets. It was screaming...

    I may do them occasionally but I think I'll stay flat footed mostly

    I don't regret buying my weightlifting shoes. I haven't been using them much as a pair of chucks works well for me and comfortably fits in my backpack. For cleans/snatch/OHS, I find they are a must.

    Grab a pair of 501 stf to try out. You can find them from $40-$60. It's not for everyone but it's almost a kind of hobby for me now. Pants with built in stretch are probably more comfortable but a well worn pair of raw denim is hard to beat. They look way better on us muscular guys too as it fades perfect to your body.

    I am going to be getting my GF a pair soon too. She swears she will obey my rules and not wash them for 6 months but we will see. Doubtful. I bet they are washed within 2 weeks :laugh:
