My squeaking comes and goes. Not loud. especially after I have driven through something like mud holes that causes the suspension to stretch a little.

If they make as many of them as they are allocating to the so cal area then THOSE WILL BE F*CKING UNICORNS.

I was always told that gap insurance is a scam. I'm no expert at all but wouldn't your regular insurance be good enough?

I showed @Gettin Lost truck photos to one of my friends in our Total Loss unit and he says I undervalued the amount the truck would fetch at salvage. He believes it would sell for $4500-5500. Better than I though given what I normally see in the claims I've handled but still not a lot for a brand new truck. It's the front end dmg that makes it worth less at salvage. Hopefully, Gettin Lost, your company will have better luck (not that it impacts you whatsoever).

Not sure where you heard that. It serves a useful purpose if you need it. Like was explained upthread... if you owe more on your vehicle than it's worth and you total it, you're going to owe the lienholder some $$ unless you have Gap insurance to pay the difference for you. So if you're in that position (upside down on your loan) and you can't afford to take a loss if your vehicle is totaled, it's worthwhile.

Thanks for the clarification. If i chose to not get gap insurance at the time it was offered can I get it after I already got the truck?

Definitely not a scam, I have heard it many times too but it has saved my ass twice before. I won't buy a vehicle without out.

Now if you put a large amount down and owe less than its worth, then you wouldn't want or need gap.. But I'm poor... I put nothing down and haven't even made the first payment, it's not due till mid march... Had 90 days. I was upside down from the gate.

This could be the third time it saves me, if so the next Tacoma will have gap too.

    Edit... Cam types faster lol
