After doing some thinking this is sort of how I feel too.
Do I really need a portable power pack? Batteries are heavy, so is the fridge. If I can't camp with my truck then I'll think I'll just pack a cooler with some ice packs. I can always set the fridge to a freeze temperature and swap out the ice packs as needed.

I see what you're saying about the weight, however even when i load my cooler with beer, food and ice it is still heavy as fuck and usually takes two people to carry anyway. So my thought is why not have the fridge be mobil and useable wherever i go, even if it takes teo to carry

@ffdawson yes it comes with a standard 120 wall plug, they recommend keeping it plugged in at home when not in use, same with the fridge. From my understanding the stock inverter that you 2gens have is not sufficient enough to do any good. That is to say the fridge will drain the arkpak faster than the bed inverter will charge. It should be ran from a true 12v "cig lighter" socket when charging while driving, you can also hook up solar to it.

I too would not want to wait for a group by, my current situation paying for the wedding I need to get all my spending done now. Next month would be the longest I could wait, but I still think we should look into a group order with us since we are so close. @tacomgee

They will have at least 5 in stock ready to ship, right? Will we have to wait for all orders to have gone through until they ship or are they shipping as orders come in?

I've been updating them with the number of sign ups we've had periodically, and they said they can handle it so I'm assuming that everything is in stock.

Also, just as a heads up since some of you asked me, I'm working on trying to get some of the larger dual zone units (the ones similar to the National Luna fridges) discounted as well. If you're interested, stay tuned- I'll either get this on the same group buy or on a future one, but no promises on the discount amount.

Too much to list, but enough to get me in trouble. Repeatedly.
I'll be the first to jump on this. That's where I'm headed for sure anyway. This GB is just a stop-gap until then, 'cuz I can't pass on a great deal. But if you can manage to get the TB-65-DD on this GB with the same discount, it's a done deal.

I sent them an email yesterday but since they're on east coast time I don't think they got it before closing. I'll probably get an answer by Monday which is when the sales go live anyhow.

    Heads up-

Looks like the larger dual zones will not make it to this GB. They are still figuring out shipping and other options, so while it may be an option at a later date we will have to wait until next time.

Ordering info will be sent out tomorrow night

Dual zone sounded nice, but I'm glad they aren't available... So i don't have to decide again.

Btw, i have been told that if you use a sheet of the plastic corrugated realtor /street side signs. And cut it to fit like a divider it'll help make more of a 2 zone unit. So go clean up your neighborhood and take some of those signs off the roadside.
