Oh I know, I've priced them out, I was wondering how much they go for a complete housing, I build them and sell to offset the cost or not.

Funny you should post! I was just reading your manual trans swap, I just don't trust my re built auto, shoulda gone with my gut...

 

First post on the forum. Bought my 03 Tacoma Xtra can from my brother. He had owned since new. Has 99,000 miles on it. He already had a pretty good set up tire and suspension wise so next project is to get a good sound system starting with an iPad Mini dash I'm building myself. Relocating heat controls. Will be powered when in dash and use Apple airport to get high quality optical out sound.

 

I may dislike apple, but that is one sweet setup you're customizing there. Welcome to TW!

 

Today I climbed a hill and whipped out the tent to chill for a bit

 

Haha there's snow and ice everywhere except for the top of this hill and the trail going up it..kinda weird

 

Na I'll retro fit one day but I'm fine with my pods now, 40 bucks a piece.

 

Land Cruiser style brush bars installed on the fenders....

Now I must venture to the magical storefront of Tacoma Screw for some fasteners.

 

Would take one hell of a hit to move these.

 

Well unfortunately Tacoma Screw was closed, fastenal is closed, anyone have an idea where I could get grade 8 or 10.9 metric fasteners locally? The guy at NAPA wasn't willing to actually look in the back or let me decide what type of fastener works for my application and I haven't checked AutoZone or Oriellys.

 

Finished up swapping my rear swing out to a dual swing out. Just have to drill a couple holes for the pop pins but my drill is wanting to give it up. I'll let it rest and try again tomorrow. Hoping I won't have to buy a new drill.

Its more or less just to keep haulders and "brush" from scraping up the body.

 

I've always had good luck at ace industrial supply places.

 

That and the last few miles of my trails are very skinny with slants and trees on both sides

 

I don't even remember how I did my swap sometimes. Let me know if you have any questions. I have a lot of things bookmarked. Nothing was documented prior to my swap.
