I'd like to debadge my truck its a 2013 sport but I'm a little worried about if you'll be able to tell where the badges were in the 3 year old paint. Is it safe to do on a few year old truck or just on new trucks ? Thank you for your feedback..

I debadged my tailgate after several years without issue. The TRD decals did leave a very light shadow that faded out over time

I debaged everything on my truck, aside from the "Tacoma" on the tailgate. Mine's a 2013 also, no sun fading at all. I used some citrus degreaser to get any residual glue off after. It took about 2-4 minutes per badge, easy job.

Went full brazilian with mine two years ago. It is an '11. No ghosting, etc.
Just had to buff out some little scratches from the fishing line.

Zero worth bring up, bought it 6/17/2019 with 3 miles on it
I have been thinking about this on my 99 and wasn't sure I could do it without showing any marks. I'll have to let you guys know how it works out.
