If i didnt have my truck payment i definitely would. And maybe if i stopped buying mods.

Until then ill just keep dreaming. Theyll all just be abused/worn out/expensive when i want to buy

Hey now. I've driven in at LEAST 6 inches of fresh snow fall. I like to get a little wild every now and then.

Just got off the phone with a guy with a 03 silverado ss, I tried to pick one up locally the other week and they sold it after saying they would hold it till I could come drive it. This one is a 03 60K miles with a supercharger on it. I may just need to jump on this over a wrx or other car lol this is one of my dream trucks. Its in Cheynne, anyone know anyone down there mechanic wise that I could have check it out?

Its been , one of, my dream trucks since I got my license. My uncle bought one new back when they first came out. Black and all the exact same and ive been in love since. Only real downside is I'd rather it be 2wd with 4wd selectable, but awd is great in the winter. And they sit low so would have to buy a side rig to go play in the hills still.

LQ9, I wish it was the ls2. But with some heads and a cam they can out perform rhe ls2. But yes AWD up until 2005 where they became strickly 2wd.

Alot of people just bore and stroke this motor into either a 360 stroker for reliability when boosted, or a 408 stroker for real power.

People always ask and I thin the main reason is because the Silverado was still a truck. Compared to the SRT10 dodge and the ford lightning, it could actually tow and carry a decent payload. The torque of the LQ9 comes much sooner than the ls2's more hp orriented tuning.

This is my guess at least. I think its a tricky swap into the SS, but I would totaly consider it if the motor ever went.

Lol true, but its also what allowed them to keep producing it for multiple years vs the lightning and SRT. Ive drivin an 02 lightning, and driven a few of the 5.7 tundras and driven my uncles SS once. The lightning, for obvious reasons, was by far the quickest. The tundras did seem to have quiet a bit of power and I wouldn't be shocked if they kept up neck and neck. Would be interesting to see for sure.

Well im going to go look at it Monday, cant this weekend as the family is coming down. I'll let you know which i though was quicker. Although the supercharger gives a bit unfair advantage.

    fuck no.

I can't afford a 20k car. I could sell igor for maybe 15k out here. That would be my max budget.

I wanted to drive a boosted tundra. stock they are impressive as it is.

They stopped the trd supercharger production for the tundra I guess. Big upset.
