While waiting for my truck to arrive I'm thinking about where to put LED lights in the cap, and the switch(es).

    Here's what I propose:

    1. Two LED strips on the top as shown in this picture.
    2. The cap has side win-doors, so two pressure-actuated switches on the win-doors, so that when a win-door is opened, that strip lights up.
    3. Two three-way switches at the rear so that, when you open the back glass, you can switch each light between on, off, or pressure-actuated.

    Thoughts?

I'm wanting to do something similar!

The pressure activated switches seem like a slick option. I was considering 3 total strips though possibly, all on one switch at the back left corner. 2 4' long strips on the sides, and one 3' strip at the back. I was looking at www.superbrightleds.com and they seem to have some possible solutions, with tech support to help out too.

My leading contender so far - Rigid LED Linear Light Bar

Have you decided between battery power vs. truck power? Seems to be pros and cons to each.

Howen, did you ever figure out a solution you were happy with?
