Is it hard to clean? How much did it cost? Thinking of doing a whole truck?

I had my S10 truck done. Cost me $375 to do the bed over the rails, but that was 16 years ago. Washes out nice and is really tough. It also has a lifetime warranty against cracking or pealing. My S10 was rear ended hard last year. The bed was buckled real bad, but the liner held up. I'm guessing a whole truck would cost well over $2k to do.
I will probably have my taco bed done when I can afford to and can find a dealer. My local dealer closed a few years ago.

I don't know where I've read it (I think TTORA) but I heard it caused rust to form underneath. Not sure if it's true or not, but it's something to think about. Another thing is fading.

Mine did fade, but I had no rust problems caused by it in 16 years.

Yeah if you took it in to have it done it would be spendy! Lots of prep and masking involved with that stuff. Its not just a wash and spray type of a deal. So lots of labor cost just with that, then the cost of the material itself isnt cheap at all...

Also as far as cleaning goes, it can start to get kinda mud stained after a bit, being so porous and such. Not much you can do to bring life back into it either, maybe like a tire shine tyoe stuff er something. Never tried anything like that before but it definitely gets faded and starts to pick up staining of whatever its around like dirt and clay types and such. So if you like to "spiff up" your ride from time to time i wouldnt recomend a full body spray. But if thats not an issue then hell itll be well protected fur sure.

I've had mine for 13 years and it has held up well. It is faded a bit though.

Prior to having mine dine, I went to their website and printed a coupon that saved me $50.00

    Good luck.

I have a buddy that owns a Ford Superduty that is 100% lined. He's had it for a couple years, loves it so far. But he's not the kind to wash his truck all the time- or ever, really. If you like to wash your truck all the time, it might not be a good idea, because it likes to hold in the dirt.

I am just gonna do my self what type of liner would people recommend. I know of hurculiner, monstaliner, and raptor linings. I would like some that is not as chunky like monstaliner. Also that can be different colors. I don't know if hurculiner can have pigment added to it.

The do it yourself stuff doesn't hold up like the professionally applied stuff. Completely different formulation so it doesn't require the specialized equipment to apply. I can tell you from personal experience that herculiner doesn't hold up. The monstaliner has decent reviews, but I think it only comes in black. Raptor has good reviews and can be colored.

I did a lot of research and it seams that monstaliner is my best bet. Many first hand accounts of it holding up great just need to be on it with prep work.

have you considered wrapping it instead of rolling on a tub of shit from walmart? Don't know what you are looking to protect it from but there have been some guys do full 3m wraps themselves and they look great, are totally reversible, and the product is pretty cheap. Good for aesthetics and protection from pinstriping but nothing like line-x

also, for anyone looking to LineX, their warranties only apply to bed liners. not other stuff like rockers, full body, bumpers, sliders, etc.

pretty much expect to pay $400-$450 average price.

I used linex and it was a good thick layer no less then 1/8" thick anywhere. my brother got his done by rhino-liner and his has worn out and color is showing through in about 20% of the surface area. another friend got the rhino-liner and his isn't showing through but the thickness only averaged 1/16"

im sure it depends on the shop doing it but make dame sure you see a few trucks already done before you trust a place to do it and make sure you will get a nice thick coating. if all they do is a thin 1/16" covering then your better of doing your own herculiner roll on liner for $100 and do touchups in the future as needed.

I think the sprayed in liner is worth the price if done correctly, but that's the key, "if done correctly" and its a thick layer and not a thin coating
