Finally started and completed process yesterday. Went to local dealer. They lowballed trade and wouldn't budge off msrp. Went an hour and a half away where I had bought the tacoma I'm driving. They allowed 1750 more for trade and pulled 588 out of that end . Not that it matters where. They have one due in that will work. Trd sport access cab mt. Should pick up week of 22nd

This was the dealers internet managers fault... He was let go prior to this truck showing up. That dealer was unwilling to budge on the price or credit me any thing on any dealer options. Felt like it was a take it or leave it situation. I got my deposit back and I am waiting on my back up plan to arrive.

Just committed to an order, dropped off a deposit this morning. Opted for the BBP DCSB OffRoad 4x4 with the TO and HH packages. They say 6-8 weeks, but I don't know if they're underselling the time it will take. This is a departure from my current vehicle, a 135i, but I had a tundra prior and the BMW has been a pretty awful ownership experience (11 warranty claims in the 30 months I've had it, including new transmission and a number of electrical control modules). Looking forward to a fresh start!

Ordered an off road 12/8. Still waiting on an allocation. My dealer said they've been really slow producing the 4x4s. 14 were allocated to so cal which has like 50+ dealerships. Toyota told them they were planning on ramping up production in second or third quarter this year...he said sports and 2wd are everywhere but no one can get their hands on off road 4x4s. I'm down in Escondido, ca right now. They have 20 trucks on the lot. All 2wd. One off road. :) welcome to the wait!

Is that a california or regional issue? I'm in Texas, I don't know if that matters.

Not sure. Spoke to a dealer in Arizona about ordering from them instead. They said they were in the same boat.

I was working through Doxon. I ended up going through heartland up in Bremerton for sales tax.

My wait is over, the dealer called and told me they're now willing to remove the dealer added accessories. Woohoooo!! Wrap up that Blazing Blue SR5 DCLB!

I bought a car up in Burlington once for the sales tax, plus the dealer was willing to deal. I got mine at Burien because my dad is buddies with the sales manager there and he cut me a deal I couldn't refuse.

It's almost 1% cheaper in Bremerton plus they matched an offer for $911 below invoice. Couldn't pass it up.

This is weird. The first dealer I dealt with here in Jax called me today, they said "things change" and they are willing to work with me on price and sell to me at invoice and match the 2nd dealer I'm working with. They also have a list of all the vehicles incoming, dates, etc. (the 2nd dealer can't even get me a build date). Anyway, the 1st dealer tells me the truck I wanted in QS, DCSB TRDOF 4x4 will be here in 1.5 weeks and it's mine if I want it. I asked them to send me the VIN, and specs of the vehicle, and it's legit. I asked about other colors, and they have dates for white and black trucks are projected within the next three weeks.

I'm wondering if the new 2017's coming out had anything to do with that, or if there is some dealer incentive/bonus that they are getting? The 1st dealership wasn't willing to budge on price at all, now two weeks later they are dropping it from MSRP to invoice?

It sounds like a bad situation but don't you have the original paperwork from when you ordered your truck? How is it possible that you signed a purchase agreement for a specific truck and they ordered, built, sent you the wrong truck?

I think its because Toyota is ramping up their Toacoma production this month and the dealers realize that they're going to get swamped with trucks here very soon.

And picked up today! The manual is great. Nice clutch feel and precise throws on the transmission. Everything I hoped for.
