I am puzzled on this one

My clothes dryer shitted out on me.
At first I narrowed the issue down to the thermal fuse, i replaced it and the dryer worked for about 6 loads of clothes.

Now it's not working again, I tested all of the fuses for continuity and they were good. Based on the symptoms it was having I thought the motor needed replaced, ordered one from Amazon and just got done putting it in, still not working.

When I set the timer and push the start button I can hear a very faint click and the timer ticking but the motor won't turn.

I tested the timer for continuity and it's good.

Flipped the breaker box and nothing.

Before I replaced the motor I could push the start button and the motor would turn for a split second then shut off. Before this this it would shut off mid cycle. I'm at my wits end lol, anyone have any insight? Tomorrow I'm taking a load of underoos and t-shirts to the public laundromat like common folk. The wife was pissed I ordered a new motor for it, at this point she wants to push it to the curb and buy a new one.

For what it's worth it is an Estate (may tags budget brand all of the parts are maytag)

when's the last time you checked/cleaned your dryer vent?... if there's a clog in the vent, ..it can cause the dryer to shut off... usually the lint builds up at the vent cover on the exterior wall penetration..

If there's a vent issue, the heater could cycle off ,, the clothes will take forever to dry . The motor will keep running. The motor is 120. L2 straight from the wall.. I if it won't come on atall now, ... Check voltage to motor... Check belt switch...reading the
sequence you're at now, you likely forgot to re-attach belt switch wire harness..
Also as standard procedure, jump the door switch to test

..well, I had this very problem, ...thought something was wrong w/ the dryer, as it would shut off, ...try restarting, ...would run a few seconds and shut off... finally checked the dryer vent, ...and bought a "lint eater" kit for cleaning it (everyone should have this ;)), ...once I cleaned the obstruction (..years of lint buildup and somehow what looked like a damn birds nest in there), ...the dryer would work again.. now, I clean the vent w/ the lint eater kit once a year... ;)

Forgot to add, first thing I did was clean all of the vents, they were clear.
I have a low end model, don't have a belt switch.
    The door switch checked fine.
I really thought it was the timer switch but the repair shop talked me out of replacing it saying "those hardly ever go bad, it's gotta be something else". I just took the timer switch apart, it tested ok, has continuity when in the on position. Before it stopped working It would cut off mid cycle, when I pushed the start button I could hear a slight buzzing or clicking in the timer switch.

What funny is we bought the dryer on clearance so if I replace anymore parts I will damm near have put more money into it then I paid for it.

Your motor gets voltage or it doesn't.. Then if you'r push to start switch ohms right then it's your timer..
Timer start switch door switch belt switch... Things in the motor circuit
