Thanks! Yeah, had some "issues" arise in my life that caused me to have 0 time to wheel, or mod so I jumped off here as not to be tempted LOL...

as I posted earlier, I can't wait to get my rack built (starting this weekend) and repair/mount up the RTT. I'm hoping to get 2-3 camping/wheeling trips in before Rock Therapy to work out all the kinks.

I found myself in some significant wind in mine and ended up using some bungee cords and it seemed to help, just didn't let the tent flap as bad. It worked for my tent, but it may not work for yours.

I have since grabbed some of the tarp clips upload_2016-2-17_11-8-32.jpgso i can locate and isolate the fly wherever the pesky wind is getting under.

Hope that helps my wife is a light sleeper and seems to have worked. But as other have said location is key so you don't have to bother to begin with.

I ordered my bed rack on Monday!!!!! Next is my RTT I have been looking at the MT. Hood. Does anyone have that tent? How do you like it? Also does anyone just leave there RTT on your truck if its not setting at least under a Carport? Seems like the sun would fade it a little bit and it would not be good on the fabric to set out like that..... I dont plan on leaving mine on it all the time if i can help it since i dont have a carport or garage at the moment..... I was reading earlier in the thread where a guy left his on year round. I was just wondering how well they stood up to being left out in the weather all the time if you didnt park it at least under something....

Thanks. I was thinking of possibly grabbing those. Some places don't really allow for repositioning which sucks. Also, for those of you wanting a little extra padding, we picked THIS up for $35 and it really made a big difference. The full size fits like a glove width wise and is a little short, but the feet don't need any extra padding.

I typically leave mine all year. Living in an apartment makes it hard, but it's held up great. Now take that with a grain of salt because I'm in the south...

Oh and no carport or anything, its out in the open

They seem to hold up very well. I live in North Carolina so the weather is not very extreme here either. Just when spring gets here id hate to take it off just to put it back on in a week lol

I've had mine mounted on my truck for over 2 years almost or something like that. I live in an apartment so leaving it lying around isnt an option. @Acerwin You know you want one.. :spy:

Haven't heard of this company but to be honest they all come from the same or similar factories in China, looks more like the CVT style of tents after browsing there website.

There are literally dozens of factories in China producing tents currently. As you all are aware most share a very similar design. That said, Tent A from Factory A could be quite different in materials and quality from Tent B from Factory B. Also, Factory A could be making tents for Brand C and Brand D, and even though they come out of the same factory, there can be a huge variance in quality and materials used. RTT's are a booming market and new players are popping up constantly and often the way to break into the market is cheaper prices than everyone else and you only get to cheaper prices typically by reducing cost of materials and cost of manufacturing and quality control. I'm not saying any brand of tent is bad, there are lots of good options to choose from. Just do your homework. Whichever brand you choose it's just important that you are getting out and exploring and enjoying the outdoors. We may not always have that luxury like we do now.

I bought one years ago for about $1600 with changing room. Not the highest quality but certainly not the worst either. I have used the crap out of it and it has seen many high speed runs off road. It has healed together and has given me hundreds of good nights rest including in many stormy and very high wind nights. Can't decide if this or my frig is my favorite accessory.

I put a 1" memory foam in mine and it's really comfortable. I camped last weekend in Anza Borrego and slept for literally 9 hrs. the first night. Also, it makes my wife look more like the hottie in the advert
