Might want to check out the update on the 2016's. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/hood-vibrating.402060/page-19

When I take my late 2015 in for its next service, I'm going to talk the the folks in the service department about any TSB's on this little "problem". This should be covered by warranty for the 3years/36,000 miles, right?

This isn't a "problem". Those are sealer dots for sound control,if they didn't use them the inner would rattle against the outer. What happens is they expand when they go through the heating ovens. Sometimes they separate,no big deal as long as it's still there it's fine.

Thank you! I posted in in this thread already about this and it's nothing to worry about. It's not a problem. Go enjoy your truck.

I do enjoy my truck. Really it's my wife's truck but I still enjoy driving it when she lets me. Maybe someone should tell the 2016 owners that it's not a problem. Right now there are almost 400 posts on the 2016 hood thread.

Here is an update. I took the truck to the dealer to document the issue since it was under warranty. The dealer took pics and sent them to Toyota. Toyota has gotten back to me to get the hood fixed. Looks like they will take the truck to a bodyshop to reapply the adhesive. I'll keep you guys posted on what happens next and how it turns out.

I would recommend others to do take their trucks to the dealer to let them know about it. Even if they don't fix it, it is documented, so if something happens down the road and if it is related hopefully you can make a claim against the warranty if it is passed its date, hopefully.

Ok, got the truck back from the dealer/body shop. Hood is solid now, no vibrations when going over bumps. The glue separation is not normal, get is fixed by Toyota if it is under warranty. Here are some shots under the hood after the body shop fix. Looks like they also applied glue to other areas to all existing points and some additional ones too.
