I currently placed the TRD Off Road Mats (carpeted) that came with my DC over the WeatherTech DigiFits. The hooks seem to be big enough to hold both.

The reason for the set up is that snow tends to met on the liners and it gets pretty wet/slippery. With the Carpet Mat on top, I still have pretty good traction.

Do you guys think it might be a bad idea?

Are you serious, or are you just trying to see what kind of reactions you'll get thanks to the recent safety recall on the mats?

I just figured WeatherTechs were liners and they are pretty thin. The hooks come out of the liners enough to still hold the carpet mat in place. I think the recall was due to the people using Wal-Mart mats over stock All-Weather Mats.

Thin carpet mats over liner is another story. Or is it?

Are the TRD mats the ones in the recall??

It seems to me that'd be a LOT of stuff under the pedals...but it if makes you happy and you don't crash.....It's your ride dood.

I think the all weather (rubber) ones are on recall.

I have the carpet ones, and they don't go anywhere near the gas/break pedals. Will post pics soon.

According to the recall I have, the carpeted TRD mats are listed. Additionally, the recall specifically states "do not install another floor mat on top of an existing driver's floor mat." But like Brunes said, it's your ride.

    First one is passenger side.

    Second one driver.

    Third of the driver-side hooks.

Two mats on top of each other might not be a very good idea.

Your nuts man, take it out and pick ONE set to use. The police officer killed here is still on the minds of a lot of people. Dont add yourself to the list of people killed by this!

You may want to get some double sided tape just to make sure that the carpeted mats arent moving around
