NEVER ignore Billies because you want Fox shocks and are seduced by their sexiness..and their van with free candy written on the side..

Truth is I could wait 3-5 weeks for the Fox shocks to be built and custom valved..but I don't have that time or funding. King was 4-6 weeks out (I believe).

That'll do it, it also means they won't work for me either unfortunately.

Haha nope. I got a few places to sell..including a couple facebook pages and here.

At least I'm not swapping trucks :bananadead:

Fiancee is not going to be happy but I hope I can get some nibbles on either of these sets of shocks..I also have my 30" LED bar pending sale to a member on here. Cool thing is that if I sold them and had the 4-6 week lead time, I could get the King 12" rears....

That drink I had this morning tasted funny...

Besides price and lead time, what are the advantages/disadvantages to going with the Billies over Fox/King? I am still not decided on a rear shock, it is between Fox and Billstein right now, they make a 5100 rear that is set up for the RCD lift which should work with my Expo leafs, any idea how they compare to the 5125's?

5125s are more for a custom set up with the BAMF Shock Relocation Kit. I wouldn't use them on stock mounts since they are eye to eye

For sure, I don't think I am going to do the relocate for quite a while if I do decide to do it. I was more asking about performance difference, it sounds like you are partial to the Billies, but I would be using the 5100's and not the 5125's because of the eyelets as you said and total length obviously. I wasn't sure if the 5100's aren't as good as the 5125's where it would make more sense to go with the Fox 2.0's. Part of me wants to go with the 5100's because I feel like no matter what I get, the salt on the roads up here will probably make them look like crap after the first winter anyways.

Performance wise, I'd say no difference. Now the Fox shocks would be better for performance if you are out running in the dessert but for my application of simply crawling and going down trails they are perfect

Thanks for your help guys I appreciate it, definitely no desert running here in IL, so I will probably end up going with the Billies. Back the Brian's thread, can't wait to see some flex shots!

I KNOW, one problem... Toyota of Naperthrill is holding on to BigBlu like it's their job, which is why I am trying to sort all of this shock stuff out now so they can thrown them on there when they do the frame swap. 3 months down, hopefully only a couple more to go, they did upgrade me to a Limited 4runner though for a loaner so I can't complain too much. My son is due at the end of April, so I am hoping to get my truck back, and get down to the Badlands at least once before then, but who knows there is quite a line of Taco's in their back lot.

MAYBE snowboarding Saturday and Sunday is the finacee's bridal shower.

Can't really flex these Fox shocks anyway..unless I want to blow them. Flat nasty would be fun though!!
