DSC_0244.jpg Hey all, some of you have talked with me on the forums and hopefully I haven't pissed anyone off.

I am looking to try and get together with some people on Saturday March 19th, 2016 for a meet and greet. I am really trying to be more proactive and not just go by myself to places lol.

I will be on "BCTOYOTA4WD" with this as well as "Toyota Tacoma 2nd Gen headquarters" groups on facebook with this trying to get a gathering together.

Any help would be appreciated. Any thoughts as to where we could go for a drive as a group would also be appreciated as the trail I had in mind has about a foot of deep wet snow in the shallow sections.

Just an update, for those who want to come I figure we should meet at the second parking lot

    https://www.google.ca/maps/place/58...3!3m1!1s0x537df365f221ea11:0xecf7f7c2a6934f70

The meet will be 10am-2pm. I would like to see people state if they are coming or not. I am not getting much for responses yet but will be pushing more and more to see people come out and join us.

I am still open to suggestions for a mild trail to go on as I dont know of too many that basic and advanced trucks can go on that is not covered in massive amounts of snow still. So far the two thoughts in my head are from Peachland to Princeton the hard way. There is also kelowna to naramata. I haven't done these trails in a long time and figure I will go on my truck/quad the days before the meet to see what people think. I will have video's to show some of the better spots from the exploring.

I could really use some help finding trails to do. that would be a huge factor. I will be contacting a couple of the shops locally as well to see if they want to come out for the meet. I dont know if there is gonna be enough time as I am at work in Alberta right now and come back on the 16th. If people think this is too soon for a meet I will be setting up another one in a couple months. I would hope that people could get together once every couple weeks for fun and sun type meets and conversation.

I would like to do the trail run but even to just have a setup to meet people I would be super happy with that as well... honestly I am gonna go 4x4ing after no matter what other people want to do so if people want to join me, that would be up to them.

    Hey Tyler,

I am going to try to make the meet & greet. Not sure about a trail run that day though. I know some trails around the area but with all the mud and snow
I think it would probably be better to wait until its nicer to head up the hill with a group.

I think a meet & greet is great, grab a coffee or something, meet some people and look and talk about each others trucks, trails etc.

    Just a word of caution...
I have been on other BCToyoyta4wd trail runs and have realized that a lot of people have different tastes in trails/adventure. Some guys might
think a trail is very easy and the next guy thinks its hard. With that being said I like to meet others and see what their experience/knowledge is being offroad and what trails people think are fun before heading off in the bush and anyone having a crappy time.

I'm looking forward to the Kelowna group growing and more meets like you were saying. :)

    Drew.

Thats great advice. I was raised by a forestry worker so I have experience and brains. I am a truck driver by trade right now and drive offroad with super b and oversize loads. my experience offroad is mostly self taught and experience from others. I want to be fairly competent for going through places like "the rubicon" and going into the rocks down south. Its on my bucket list of things to do. My truck right now is still a 2015 and I have a huge plan coming up which should be fun if it goes through. I dont want to hurt too much but I like having fun. I even thought about making a beast of a crawling rig here really quick. (mix and match caged unit) but with work in Alberta slowing down I need to pinch those pennies and stay within budget.

I will get a cooler of coffee from Timmies and some donuts. I will be there right from 10 till 2. I am hoping up2nogood from merrit area will be able to come out. He did mention he is pretty busy lately so we will see.

It sounds like there will be about a dozen or so people showing up. Not gonna be completely 2nd gens from the sounds of it. I had one guy complain that there will only be one exit and is worried about cops.... *facepalm
We are just under a week away and I have been telling everyone I can to come on out. at one point I was worried about the size of the parking lot lol

I personally cant wait to make it back to Vernon and install the RTT again on new racks for the back of my truck.

Reminder to people that the Kelowna meet is happening Saturday March 19 between 10am and 2 pm at Knox mountain second parking lot (access to pauls tomb)
This is a basic meet and me and a couple of the other guys are going to be doing a basic trip up grouse ( i have never been where they want to go) to see what is happening up there. People are welcome to come see where it is and what is up there but I have no guarantee as to what we will find.

Apparently there are some people who dont have others in mind.. big tires, high bumpers and they think they are gonna get vehicle inspections handed out to them. I stated if they are that worried then it was up to them if they wanted to come. Honestly I dont really have time to babysit people like that. I could probably come up with a cool way of protecting their trucks and holding within the law but I am assuming its all about the look.
Maybe one day they will come out and meet up but until then its the good guys and gals coming out.

kinda weird to me, you can do quite a bit of mods and still be legal... I don't think they hand out VI's that much.

I dont think so either unless you are known to be a problem. then they give them to you because they want you off the road. its really good to be quiet about things and not be too rowdy.

Just to be more specific as some dont know where the second parking lot is. Once you arrive at Knox mountain drive there is a roadway that goes up the side of the mountain to the top. First parking lot is at the bottom where the gate is. Second parking lot is where we are gonna meet up and that is up 2 switchbacks to this location here..

The google maps wont keep the pin right in the parking lot but if you move to satalite you can see it clearly.

If you go any further up the hill it will just loop around and come back down to the hill. I am sure you will see me with my White 2015 tacoma and from the sounds of it a few more will be showing up right around the same time.

Well I am off to pick up the coffee and donuts I am bringing to the meet. Glad to see some people coming out to visit with us and hopefully we get to meet and share information regarding local fun spots and items. Even if its just to visit there are gonna be some good people out there... I mean we are all good as we own toyota's right?

Dont forget that we will be at https://goo.gl/maps/uHafWWNSPj22

which is the entrance to pauls tomb and a fairly large parking lot.
You will see my white DCLB 2015 on 33's sitting there with a huge guy standing or sitting beside it.
