Haha you and I had similar days... Spent the afternoon detailing mine as well. Didn't go looking for a hill though, the wife's AWD Escape got an oil change instead.

It's a huge place and the crazy articulations required weren't clear in the gopro video. but it is some real shit out there.

    Need some lift advice guys....

I am mentally stuck between getting 5100s and running factory PreRunner springs at the 1.5" setting or getting the Daystar 1.25" spacer lift...

I am not enthused about a spacer lift, but seeing as this is more a cosmetic issue for me than a performance issue (I use the truck off road but usually on fairly well established fire/hunting trails) so I don't want to spend more than $250 on the entire set up.

I can get the spacer lift shipped with bolts for $40.00 from Wheeler's Offroad while a set of 4 used 5100s (if I can find them locally) might run me $200 without springs. I would be I think I'd be satisfied with the 5100s, just concerned the pre-load will kill the ride quality at the 1.5" setting, if I could get them at a good price point. Do you guys think it's worth what might be an extremely long wait to try and find a good set of used 5100s locally or should I just go for the spacers and call it a day?

5100's ride fine at 1.75" setting. 1.25" spacers won't be much different. Just stay away from top plate spacers. Instead of adding preload, they move the entire coilover and the bump stop will no longer contact the LCA. The coilover can then bottom out and snap the lower mounting stem.

I cant speak from experience on either......I did consider both though. I ended up getting 5100's with OME 885 lift springs. Very happy with the ride

Yea with that budget in mind id go with 5100s and new springs. Even if you were to go with spacers you would still have to break apart the coil-over to put in longer studs for the spacers, which is a pain and depending on if you would do that yourself would add extra cost.
