yup!! i forgot about the question sorry. its a harbor freight 1000w continuous inverter and you can pull it apart and solder the lines in but i am not going to do that route, im just going to get some cheap extension cords and plug them in and run them to where i want. there is two reasons why i am doing this. the wires are all in a nice easy package to run through the truck and are protected. and if something were to happen to the inverter i can just unplug it and return it. i will not touch anything on the inverter so its easy to change out

@thefatkid i have another question to ask you. There is no problem with regearing the rear axle right now and doing the front with the swap. What im asking is as long as i dont go into 4wheel drive nothing will get hurt correct. Is this also true for a first gen? Also how much would it cost me for yoy to do an alinement on the truck?

    Thanks Brian for your help,

Your axle gears don't have any issues being different if left in 2wd. 4wd would mean bad times.

Why do you need an alignment? Aren't you cutting that stuff off in a couple weeks?

Ok thats what i though. And yes im cutting it all of here soon but i got the truck so far toed out that it shakes when i brake, i am fine with that but i just thought if you could do it for cheap i would do that so its not bad driving twell the 17th. If not then it's also fine by me!

I am going to get the second, newer one after the SAS because it kicks ass. It has 700 max foot lbs, can do a brake away torque of 1200 foot lbs. and has three speed selection. That will be my go to for anything!!

That one looks pretty awesome. I have the older 18V one, mainly because it shares the same battery as my drill and I had concerns with the 20V battery being lithium ion

My dad or myself have yet to have a problem with the 20v's i know i have ran them hard!! And after ben and i fried my last 20 volt drill i have slowly upgraded to brushless. They make a world of diffrence.

Just out of curiosity what are your concerns with lithium ion? I like them because they provide more of constant power throughout their charge and then just "go dead" all at once whereas with other battery types the power seems to slowly Peter out as the battery dies.

Probably just my consistently bad experience with them in laptops and not holding a charge worth a damn after a while. To me they always seemed like these delicate little things that you had to constantly take care of in order to maximize their life, and since I only use the tool a few times throughout the year I wanted something that I didn't have to babysit. I haven't paid much attention to the state of Li-Ion batteries these days so maybe these issues are better or at least minimized, but in the end it really was just that I could use the same batteries on my impact as my drill, so there were fewer chargers sitting around the house to keep track of.

:rofl:Haha thats how my dad was, i know we started with 2 drills then we just kept up grading. Now i think all mt dads tools are 20v and i have like two thats are still 18v.

Another big plus is that the dewalt store down here will take your old tood and trade it in for a portion off the new same tool.

    So trade drill for drill
    Light for light
    Miter box for miter box.
    ........
I just have a box of shot tools laying around for trade in.

Sweet, I didn't know that you could trade tools in. I'll keep that in mind for whenever I decide to upgrade to the next big thing.

I feel the exact same way about NiMh. Li-Ion lasts so much longer and has better discharge rates then any Nickel battery.

Where's this Dewalt store? I actually could go with a trade in on one of mine.
