For the last few years I've been collecting morale patches and at one time I thought I had the best solution for showing them off...but recently things have changed.

One of the many changes to the new Tacoma is the material used for the headliner. With the new material velcro patches will not stick to it.

So I'm debating on what to do...Keep my patches in a bag and never see them again or...take my truck to an upholstery shop.

Do you guys have any ideas on how I can make the patches stick?

When I retire out of the Army I'll do this for sure.

I've tried to come up with any easier option, but everything has failed. Maybe I'll just pin up some material to the roof myself.

I wanted to say take a piece of plywood, cover it in felt, put a frame around it, and hang it on the wall. Kind of like a big picture frame. This post above is a perfect example. That way you can see your patches and even keep adding to it , and it doesn't have to be in a bag somewhere.

I put some sticky back Velcro on mine. Most of my patches are in my gun room though

Maybe you can use the velcro tape (where the non-use side of the velcro strip has an adhesive) and stick them to your back window. You can then tint the window so drivers behind you will not notice the velcro. Maybe the adhesive side of the velcro will even stick to the headliner? It may be a pain though, if they keep falling off.

Do you need to know, or care?
Could try this, not sure if they would work, but maybe worth a try...

I currently have about five patches stuck to my headliner. They will stick, you just have to "move them around a little bit" while pushing firmly into the headliner. I was worried about them messing up the fabric after doing this, but removed a few to check and all was good!

Did you get this to work? Been fiddling with it for about 5 min and haven't gotten one to stay yet.

Looks like it depends on the patch. Got all but 2 to work.

Call Katskin, ask them to make you a set of seat covers for the front seats using the old fabric on the backs. Then stick your patches all over the backs of the seats. Great conversation piece. I bet you're proud of that collection!
