The $ / HP value proposition really isn't there.

But it's not there with the 4.0 either, assuming you would want more from it as well.

    Won't happen

My 2.7L 4 door ( way slower than you), can't even pass a Prius, much less a civic

My 3.5L turd gen at least can get out of its own way

I have a drop in afe dry filter, lce header, and a flow master delta 50. It makes the truck fun to drive. Drops your 160 lb of torque down to about 3k rpm. I rarely go up to 3k rpm. Now if you're trying to race a civic than you my friend, need a sports car, not a truck.

yep idk what you consider a boatload but I just put the LCE header on mine about a month ago and it really makes a difference. I've done the AFE pros dry drop in filter and the header and very satisfied. The header is $450 and I think the filter is around 60. Search LCE on youtube they have a very good video on header installation

I've got the filter and the header. Was there any real bennifit to the flowmaster? How does it sound especially with the header? I just don't want it to sound like a honda

My but dyno says yea I do feel a difference. That said, it's a little too loud for my personal taste so I will either add a resonator or have my stock one put back on. It's real loud and deep at 1.5-2k rpm. Doesn't sound like a Honda until you hit about 4K but I rarely see that. If i knew what I know now I'd stay stock or put in a flowmaster 60 which I read it's quieter. That said, I think I'm just being too critical lol

Also tooter installed the same exhaust and it lowered his power band about 100 rpm. That's why I chose that exhaust.

Here's a video of inside cabin around the neighborhood while not stepping on it.

Like the others, I'm running an AFE drop-in, LCE header, and LCE cat back. I've been running the AFE for years. I added the header and cat back later last year.

I can tell a difference in power. There are a couple of substantial hills on my commute home from work that you have to climb from a stop. Before the install, I would have to rev to 3-4k before shifting or I'd bog down the engine. Now I can shift at my usual 2500 and not bog the motor. Also acceleration up the hill is faster overall.

I will say that LCE's cat back is way loud. I'm looking at putting in a resonator to quiet it down.

I don't want mine to be loud either but I would think ading the resinator would kinda kill the whole purpose of the exhaust I think I'll just leave the stock exhaust

I agree. Resonator will hopefully make it less loud. I love the sound except for the 1.5-2k loud deep sound. Others buy it for that reason lol. If I can make it 30 percent less noisy it will be perfect. The stock is too quiet. The delta 50 too loud for my taste. I may just re install the stock back on but leaning towards the resonator.

The LCE exhaust is loud because they use a straight through muffler, which is essentially a perforated straight pipe and the muffler body gives room for gas expansion and a tiny bit of sound absorption.

A resonator is similar. A perforated straight pipe, but the space between the body and pipe has sound absorbing material. Exhaust flow shouldn't be effected much at all.
