Why won't the bilstien 5100 pre runners strut fit 5lug if you had the total chaos Uca. They are to fat or to tall.

Gone over the Top for a 5-lug..
Not familiar with the mid-travel setups to really be able to comment. I only know the 5100's are verboten on our 5-lugs due to length - 4600's are maximal length, even with the spacer lift.

I haven't the foggiest on a mid-travel setup - it may be about the angles of the shock/strut, in relation to the spring, throughout the suspension range of movement. That is the only thing that comes to mind.

They are too tall. I have a midtravel setup and my coilovers are only the 6" saw's with the tc ucas

Tall is ok . I thought that by my reading. I'll buy a old 5100 cut it I think 2" or so. If you look at the bottom they just added pipe to make it longer. That can be removed . And the eye ring rewelded. So who has a used 5100 front. If this works I will buy the one up shock 6200. It just has a fater piece of pipe . Look at them and see if you agree or I'm just crazy . I weld shit all the time this seems plosiable. So thoughts. I just don't want to drop a grand on shocks . That need changed every year.

Throwing this out there for any potential members interested in getting a Fat Bob's Front spacer along with Bilstein 4600 Struts. I am getting rid of my old front setup, Bilstein front struts, paired with a Fat Bobs 2.75 spacer and spring. This is all assembled and ready to bolt up and it will cut your install time tremendously.

PM me if you any of you guys are interested.

I ended up getting the 4600 series there not 43mm there 40mm and the stock ones are thicker 43mm. So like the 5100series the 4600 has a snap ring but with no extra rings slots for more height . So I plan on making a shim to rise the spring holder up like 1/4 Or 1/2" should be no upper arm rub cause shock is a little thinner. And will compress spring a little more. It will be a spacer ring . And should give maybe another inch in height . To like 3 1/2" or so total lift instead of 2 3/4" measurements are just a guess for now.

Can't wait to see how it turns out :D
That center pin in the kit is what holds the springs together. The ubolts are what mounts the springs to the axle. I don't think you have to change them out but I did for the sake of putting thicker ones in and theres a thread somewhere on TW with people arguing about thread stretch. If you decide you need them there around $40 at your local car parts store.

My set up is on Page 20 and scroll up lol Its just about the same as everyone else's lifted 5 lugs.

The aal is a lot shorter check out the readylift 5 lug install video and it'll explain just about everything except rotating your top strut and cutting down your original bolts.
